Well, it’s back . Collected from Exeter, drove back to sunny Scunny. Stopped at Gloucester services for a wee, got back in…. declined to proceed. “Buggered battery, “ quoth the AA man. 
Obvs, being French, terminals are not in common orientation, and none that he had on board fitted, so quick trip into Gloucester Halfords was in order

Duly procured, (£127 later😳) fitted, alternator belt tightened, and all was well

Sun roof whistles like a demented canary, gearbox ( auto) is a bit weird, and there’s a couple of dead panel lights… apart from that , tres bon

Good news is that I have found it and it still has the optic fibre cable attached (for sending light to the ignition barrel).

Not so good, something inside rattles and one corner's mounting screw plastic has broken off and gone awol but this won't show from the front.

Either sort this one out or move the speedo dial over to your pod.

BVH stands for boîte de vitesses hydraulique, which means the hydraulic semi-automatic gearbox (i.e. a clutchless manual).
