An itch scratched, RFU buys a warm hatch** MG ZR 105 Trophy!! with ADDED OMGHGF and electrical faults!

As per the title, it's currently a possible/maybe, pending the seller's cooperation and it not proving to be an unviable waste of my time upon viewing (i.e. as long as it's not a "just fucking scrap it m8")

- It's not likely to make the 5 mile journey back, so I think I'll arrange a flatbed to save such hassle.

- It's priced a shade above scrap value

- Might* involve some steam or escape of coolant by one way or another.

- More than 6 months MOT. It's NEVER even had an advisory in its life, let alone a fail.. supposed to be a one owner car.

- I've only seen one picture. It may or may not come with the private plate..

I've been put onto it by a mate of mine.. he obviously knew it was just my bag 🤣

I asked to view it tonight or tomorrow... He said Friday.. sounds promising* , but let's see how it goes.

Much excite.

To be truthful I've already offered scrap value and would have bought it blind... But he "no's wot it's wurf M9" But if I'm paying any more than scrap I'm going to want to make sure it's not a total dog, no point wasting money on transport and time if it just ends up in the bin!

To be honest mate you should take a mechanic with you to check it over...

AA inspection booked 🤠

My bets are on a Rover 45/400HHR, knowing you. :D

A Rover 25 with maximum project drive misery and a OMGHGF. Or a Great Wall thing with no working parts at all, so essentially an ugly, rusting and not very practical shepherd's hut.

I'm not* ignoring the guesses, keep them coming. Correct guess is entitled to win a custard cream from their own biscuit tin :)

Ok, so we've all defaulted to Rovers. I wonder* why?

😎🤣

It had a flat battery, seller is also waiting on the private plate to come off...

Going back tomorrow to hear it run, purchase shall be finalised once the plate is off. (Seller only wants to remove plate upon serious interest, fair play)

I've established it must* have OMGHGF due to a very thick milkshake in the coolant bottle.

Nobody has guessed it yet.

More tomorrow, I guess 🙃

Seller has offered to drive it back if I give him a lift. Sweet! Saves on transport costs. Because it's coolant-oil OMGHGF* rather than coolant/exhaust then its probably safe to drive back

I'm not going to interact with any guesses, right or wrong, until the reveal but keep them coming :)

I can confirm nobody has yet guessed it!

I like how you've all collectively decided on Rover/K-Series.... 🫣

I reckon it'll be that Metro that was posted in the for sale forum recently.

OMGHGF does suggest a Rover product tbf though.

I'm going to go with a very, very early Ford Focus - possibly a saloon. It will have AA badge at the front and giffer marks on three out of four corners. May have a wooden bead seat for the driver. Original spare wheel, driver's handbook and dealer plates.
