Personally I'm looking forward to seeing which 90s-tastic head unit is making its way into it, or will you be leaving it with the CAR400?

Expand

Leaving it as is, it's working well now that I've found the code for it.

You know something, I haven't checked. Chucked fuel in it and brought it hame 😂

Very nice, my guess that you’re collecting a Vauxhall was right.

My wife had a 2.0 GLS one of these in awful dark blue about 20 years ago, it wasn’t a bad car.

Looking forward to more updates.

Turns out it does! Which was a surprise.

As far as I can tell, there's nothing missing from when the car was new, and I got a free umbrella. Win win.

Gorgeous colour, Premium Blue, code 293 IIRC. The original Vectra's shape still looks fresh, well into this millennium that it was designed for.  I highly approve.

Fantastic looking car and very low miles indeed! I love the door mirrors on these!

I won a Y-reg Mk1 Vectra in a Roffle on here a couple of years ago. A 2.6 SRI estate, no less! It was a really good car and I probably should have kept it.

Several months after I sold it, the DVLA kept sending me new logbooks for it for some reason! Never got to the bottom of that, but they did eventually stop!

Bit of an absolute mess, in debt, clearly made a loss on this car etc etc. Citroën C6 and MG6 in various states of borked. I signed the invoice by torchlight...

Bombsite... 😂

Interior is needing a good tidy up and you can still get Vauxhall velour mats so they're on the cards later on after I've had an ex-colleague valet it and give it a polish to make it all shiny. :)

Is there the tax disc holder buried somewhere in the glove box / handbook pack?

Yes. Was told the picky MOT tester removed it and its all scrunched up. :(

Last tax disc for it is 2012, when it was laid up. Otherwise there's 00, 01, and 09 as well.

Put it in the middle of the manual pack and in a few months it'll be flat again!

If it's still sticky stick it to a clear bit of thin plastic so it's safe and flat for future saddo's to be excited about 👍

I remember back when the rules changed and a disc didn't need to be displayed I we t to some online thing and made one up as if it was my current car's first tax disc. 1994 on the green zx. You could do that if you get it stuck back on, some random 1999 disc with the right date photoshopped on, then cut it out really well (I always used to cut the real discs out tbh, they never tore off well for me)

Yausa battery AND LandSails - win,win :-)
Seriously - looks really ace, hope you have a lot of fun with it (her/him?). You're 150 points up on my R reg Ovlov as I got no dealer key ring and the rear dealer plate got an advisory for delaminating so it's now on the caravan.
Bonus is that you're also about 150,000 miles down.....

AND a 2001 date coded Michelin! Going to whip all four off for something more suitable, such as Falkens or something.

It's been absolutely brilliant so far, pretty comfortable and smooth. Sure, it's not "exciting", but it's the ideal car for me.

With this car you will attract all manner of potential love interests.  Make sure the rear suspension is maximally reinforced, ready for action.

What a winner.

I don't like them either! Got a set of standard ones in the boot that'll go on the car after it has been tidied up. :)

And fitted some other stickers, just since I've settled in with it now and want it to be a bit more "mine"...

Got some West Sound ones on order, if anyone else is interested then there's a small run coming up. :)

Edit - tyres and floor mats ordered. Couldn't get genuine Vauxhall ones after all, they're NLA/unicorn shit.

- Going to see a man about the rust patch on it next week after tyre fitting. Will report back.
