44k astra

100 k golf sdi

 

 

now the more interesting stuff

 

something odd about this sierra,had orange indicators at the front,looked funny being a later one.

 

 

low miles at 74k but the body was rotten.

 

probably the nicest/best/most genuine car that we have had in under scrappage.

100 k ,one family owned golf vr6 with heated coo.

Who was trying to turn the Astra into a Belmont by sticking the boot in ?Seems a shame that VR6 is getting cubed as it looks a nice car,but it's probably 15 years old now.Still that V6 probably leaks oil like a sieve.Does seem a waste though and I can see why people get angry seeing interesting cars going to the crusher like this.But hey without the crappage scheme you'd probably get offered a grand trade in for that Golf so I can see the point (sort of).

As said - get those Morettes off the Golf, stick em on the bay and watch the bids fly! I can confirm how much these things are worth - I bought some for my Astra.MK3 VR6's with leather are lovely cars.

The Golf is a bit of a dog's dinner anyway. The only one that would upset me a bit is the Sierra but I think it's a CVH engined one so crushing is 18 years overdue.

You're right! I've never driven one - crappest van I drove was a PETROL transit with a second gear you had to physically hold it in! It also had a bonus welded up rear window! That needed saving too just for the shite cause!

I had a horrible Experience in a "Benz Van" just like that .When we were moving house (and i was about 10), the dude who moved us had one of them.And he kept flicking out a lock-knife, on the drive to our new house. To say the least "I crapped myself"

Every time I drive into my estate I always look to my left as one of the first houses has a Metro Rio. It looks in excellent condition and the only other 'tro on the estate other than my GTI. Obviously a Rover family as there is always a 75 parked next to it. Today however, I pulled into my estate glanced to the left and, Rover 75- check, 10 plate Hyundai i30- doh.

Yea, but still - it's a functional, legal car that happens to look shit now but is in acceptable condition. Therefore, should not be scrapped for any reason but the same for the Sierra and the boring stuff at the top.Crappage scheem is fail in the world of shite.
