Well  I was at Wembley Stadium in1974 and both Noel and Hot Rod driver Barry Lee got their arses handed to them by Stock car legend Stuart Smith. They were all driving identical Escort Mexicos

If there's any film of that I would like to see it.  Stuart could have driven a skip on wheels and still kick everyone's arse - it was very rare for him to drop a race in the F1s at all in the 1970s (and we're in a similar period of complete dominance by Tom Harris 50 years later).

It was part of the pre-meeting entertainment and I'm not sure if  a copy of it exists. My favourite Stuart moment was the 1984 long track championship at Baarlo.  The odds on favourite for victory  Friedhelm Welters was on the front row with a much better handling car. Stuart knew that if Friedhelm was ahead after the first lap then it was all over so he made sure it didnt happen. There's definitely footage of that one

Wow, didn’t know they used scooters and used CGI to make them into chariots.

Did they buy it from the film  studio or is it a loan shark?

Tragically, due to excess speed and failed tie-downs, Bruce was flung across the Atlantic and became embedded in the roof of a house in Headington, near Oxford...
