Whoa!Check out the I C E in that Laurel!

Looks like it has a cleaned-up, '80s-look version of the set-up in my older Laurel - separate LW/MW push-button radio (mono) which plays through a front speaker, and then a stereo cassette player (which also has that odd way of loading) playing through two rear speakers. The two can be played at once for added excitement...That particular Laurel was for sale in Barnsley only last month, new owner moving it on quickly.

There's something about dumpers that I just love, especially tatty, well used heaps like that. I remember before the days of stringent health and safety, I used to go to work with my dad and ride about with him on knackered Thwaites and Benson dumpers.

XJ12's had them too despite being Sovereign Spec. 2.9, 3.2, 3.6 and 4.0 Sovereigns and all Daimlers had the square ones. Ironically, rich folk ordering Insignia spec could "upgrade" to the povvo spec twin lamps. This is the 4.0S version which is pretty uncommon. Any expectations of a power hike will be met with disappointment as all S seemed to get you was a colour coded plastic filler between the rear lights. Rear door handle is a £10 45 minute job. Not a bad motor for £500.

I know the guy whos selling this. He came to 'Pride of Longbridge' rally in a Brown SD1 3500, wearing Brown corderoy flares, Orange shirt, 70s aviator shades and a 'fro complete with huge sideburns.

Thouroughly nice guy. I'd have that Sterling at a snap, even though I've already got one.

I take it he's this nutter?

Does anyone know where I put my Modern Talking cassette? I reckon I've got a pretty good chance with this one.

Cripes!I normally try to avoid sterotypical male nerd slavering at the sight of a female on the internets, but I'll make an exception in this case - :shock:8) I think this lass would make a much better Autoshite poster girl than Iggy Pop off Goldie's Boutique.

Now the whole office is looking at me wondering why I spat a gobful of half chewed up pork pie all over my screen.

Sadly she doesn't appear in the exhaust pipe advert though.

Have to say I was a bit disapointed that she didn't. All sorts of possibilities went through my dirty mind.
