Fiat 127 is gorgeous! Apparently, an Italian car is ill matched to the climate here (even though it's been gorgeously sunny for weeks!) and therefore isn't a household priority...

Therein lies your answer. The North of Italy (where Fiat's from) suffers from long, nasty winters with depressingly thick layers of fog dramatically reducing your visibility (GR9 4 sellin Multiplas). The "infamous" English fog is nothing compared to the shit that covers pretty much everything between Perugia and the Alps.

Wow! 8) Shite-tastic 'L' spec too .

In the early 1980s my parents had a diamond white R reg 2.0 L saloon with 4 speed manual. It almost could be a sibling car to that one. The family car had an equally austere interior in black BUT had the more 'de luxe' options of vinyl roof, chrome wheel embellishers and fog lights that made it more like a GL spec car. :D

Every other mark 1 and mark 2 Granada I saw, when I was growing up in the 1980s seem to have the 'T stick' auto transmission and most were Ghias.

Only 16,000 miles on this Granada diesel!!!!! The lad was obviously playing the long game buying the diesel version and averaging 600 miles/year. Anyway presumably he's now died, which is why its up for sale for £7000 BIN

That Granada is the tits! Stuff seat covers and no smoking signs, a vinyl interior and ash trays on every door are where it's at! 8)

Annoying anorak mode:

That is nice but is not an HL:

It does not have the HL badges or the extra chrome on the grill. The wheel trims are also standard 1750 not HL. It does have the overriders on the bumper of an HL though.
