Ebay generally dont want to know so long as they get their money.

Or you could bid, win and "buy" the car - of course Mr Bickle would then reclaim the car as the seller has no right to sell - though he says he has, the sue the seller for the cost of the car and as much else out of pocket expenses and tarnishing your good character.Probably more hassle than its worth and I dont know a friendly solicitor.

wot a mess. * bids on Strada Abarth *

Presumably, therefore, all these cars are in effect stolen if they have not been reposessed and are being sold without the permission of the owner...

All but the fuego has got bids, I would be worried now. Has ebay been informed?

Posted

Well I would have thought that would be down to Mr Bickle, given he's the legal owner.

Im sure if enough of us file up a complaint (or what ever you have to do)Saying we suspect the cars to have been taken without consent,Then im sure Ebay will bat an eye lid ?Edit ..Looks like some of the prices have stayed static for a little while now - Wonder why -EBAY NOOB-

As a former bailiff I really would NOT advise anyone bidding on these cars unless they wish to own them. If these are being sold by BAILIFFS as opposed to DEBT COLLECTORS you will hold title if you win. I don't know the situation behind this sale so I don't really want to comment too much but a bailiff will only generally get involved if a warrant has been issued via the county court. Before this a summons would of been served to Mr Bickle to attend and I'm sure he would of known about this sale before today and acted accordingly in good time.

Oh dear! Lets hope the 'continuous licensing' berks at Doovla aren't watching!

I think the term Bailiff has bee mis used to lend an official air to the sales. I hope NB will be able to get them pulled from ebay. Legal or not, if somebody turns up and hands over the money, it's a pain in the arse to get the cars back off them.

Bailiffs aren't auctioneers! They don't have sales! Someone needs to ask the Ebay seller for his bailiff certificate number and if he doesn't have one then he is selling goods that he has no right to! He is implying that he is a bailiff selling goods at auction which he clearly isn't!

I know, that's why I said the term was mis used.

Well i was the highest bidder on the datsun for a while but after reading this im glad im no longer in the running.i would hate to end up in the position that the buyers will find themselfs after purchaseing a car from him, could get very messy

The Datsun's at over a grand now! That's well worrying.
