Your only chance to own a vehicle like this. its truly one of a kind at this state of Tune and with very little work will be a proper rare show/race machine

Wow! Sounds like a bit of a weapon!

Bad Points-

-Needs 2 Headgaskets, a Cambelt kit and engine put back together

-Needs a new clutch

Oh, never mind, I'll just use my fucking bicycle thanks

This should be cheap as someone has nicked the engine. GOOD I say, you could put a better one in, maybe a 2.2 16v from an Omega or summert? Got to be some better/cheaper engines you could lob in to get it going again.

I've seen one with a Rover V8 in it. 160bhp so similar power to a 2.2 Lotus but with loads more torque and rebuild costs 0.000000001% of the Lotus engine.

Lawks! Thats a late one on a 'W' aint it!! I thought they were all Itals by this stage.

Yup, my dad had an Ital on a "V". Lovely colour and the wheeltrims are fantastic on those late Marinas.

When attempting to fit coilovers, a bolt holding the rear lower fork to the trailer arm snapped, so currently only half a bolt in there which needs extracting and replacing. It drives fine like that, done 300 miles since

Also managed to cross thread one of the bolts holding the upper camber arm to the body

When replacing the front indicators with clear bulbs, found that the N/S/F bulb holder was so badly corroded that the terminals crumled away from the wires

I took off the steering wheel and put on a nice OMP jobbie. In the process I broke the mounting lugs that hold the horn pad on

I think this guy ought to stick his tools on eBay and forget all about 'modding'.

To be fair the car is only £150 and looks great value despite his efforts.

I've bought a car from a bloke like that in the past. Or perhaps it was his brother - WankHands
