The plate exists..... but was allocated to a Ford Escort which hasn't seen the road in almost 20 years and may no longer exist.

Mutha_Outlaw reminded me the other day I've got a welder stashed at there (got to be 20 years ago) I will attempt to unearth it at the weekend and run it down to you - no rush to get it back, it might not even work.

I did the same, bastard knotted wheel kicked back and ran up my jumper, ended up scouring lovely gouge out of my gut and tore my t-shirt and jumper to a knotted mess. Burnt the motor out on the grinder at the same time.

Hey Doc, I think the seat covers unzip and come out relatively easily on that era Pugwot- they'd come up like new at 30 degrees in the washing machine!

Is the little green diecast a Matchbox?

I only ask because it seems such a poor effort.

I know they went downhill quickly after production moved to Macau, hadn’t realised quite how quickly though. The front end is really rather shit. 

Hard to believe only a few years earlier Matchbox were at the level of detail where they did the actual rear badges you could get on a Mk4 Cortina 1.6 GL. Or was it an L, I must go and check 😀…

Its a Maisto. Which feel like cheap Matchbox, and even have similar wheels.

Put some WD40 or something on it, ideally plusgas or penetrating oil, but it'll wash out anyway.

Alternatively try one of the dedicated zip lubricants available from outdoor specialists and drysuit retailers. Nikwax is a well-known brand; other brands are available.

Put these cheap shit trims on to hide the scruffy wheels. Don't worry, it's a temporary thing only, but I wasn't going to pay £30+ for scratched and cracked Peugeot trims!

Got the base cover off, now being washed. I can't guarantee it won't disintegrate though.... 😐
