Hirst Cabs (Motoring Chaos Edition)

Also made another discovery - the engine isn't a CA20, it's actually a CA18P (P is for LPG) with a rip-roaring 76ps! Considering the car weighs about 1360kg and has the aerodynamics of a brick, that explains why you need to floor it to get it past 100km/h. I'll have to edit all those thread titles now to make it an 1800, what a ballache!

Nah leave 'em be. Live the lie!

Panic probably over regarding last night's temporary non-starting - just thought of something. It's got two keys, a proper Nissan one and a copy.I think what probably happened is that I tried to start it with the copy key, took the key out whilst I fiddled around, then put the Nissan key in when I tried again so it fired straight up. I seem to recall the seller saying something about the keys, so that's probably it. Strange since it's not a chip key or anything, maybe it's just a lousy copy.Old bloke referred to it as a mafia car today, on account of it being big, square and black - superb. To celebrate, I'll grow a really lousy afro and wear a chequered sports jacket like that bloke in Goodfellas who turns up frozen in the back of a meat lorry.

i have the same problem with the passat, 2 keys but one only does the doors and turns the ignition, but doesnt have a chip so wont start, its now safe elsewhere

Fascinating, replacement for the railway trips stuff they show at night?

Perhaps I should offer a "Virtual Hirst Cabs" service - request a starting point and destination within the Wakefield area, send a hefty fee and watch as I drive said route.

Sounds pretty rorty, you should leave the exhaust as it is!I liked the video, it's like being an actual Hirst Cabs customer.

I like the idea of virtual rides! :D How much to go from your house to a local supermarket car park for some OMG RWD DRFTN action for us all to enjoy?

Balls to that. Any chance you can take me for a run to Ferrybridge services at 3am to buy yorkie, ginsters and lucozade?

I don't go east of Normanton at that time of night.

Is that first song The Art Of Noise? Enjoyable segue into Billy Joel.My 18-month-old daughter wondered over to the laptop while I had this video on, and appears strangely hypnotised by it.

In some smoke stained truckstop in backwoods Japan, there is now a wall with 4 perfect white circles on it

I thought he was back for a second then.

I do miss walking around car shows and chatting car shite with him.
