FredTransit Posted December 28, 2009 Posted December 28, 2009 Jeezus is that Sky Edge behind those trannies? Here's mine......
Hudsonpie Posted December 28, 2009 Posted December 28, 2009 Presumably most of the pics are from a time when you could photograph the police without being beaten to death......
Mr_Bo11ox Posted December 28, 2009 Posted December 28, 2009 LOL! 'Anyone seen photographing police cars could well be harbouring terrorist intentions, take their details and put it on a database in case they ever decide to take up a job where they might be working with children' etc etc.
whitevanman Posted December 28, 2009 Posted December 28, 2009 I guess the one in my spoting thread was Freds after all
FredTransit Posted December 28, 2009 Posted December 28, 2009 I guess the one in my spoting thread was Freds after all Which one was that?Presumably most of the pics are from a time when you could photograph the police without being beaten to death......Mine were all taken on set.......
whitevanman Posted December 28, 2009 Posted December 28, 2009 page 2 or 3 I think Fred http://www.autoshite.com/forum/viewtopi ... 5&start=15
FredTransit Posted December 28, 2009 Posted December 28, 2009 yeah found it after my last post, and commented
Station Posted December 28, 2009 Posted December 28, 2009 I worked in a police station a while ago as an office worker and shared an office with a few old school bizzies who were near retirement. They used to get dropped off in the police van at night in the winter and do their beat. Basically no car all night! They were all drunk to keep warm.
michiel Posted December 28, 2009 Posted December 28, 2009 Maybe I've posted these before, but here are a few Dutch police cars...
Spiny Norman Posted December 28, 2009 Posted December 28, 2009 I think I'm right in saying the Volvo Amazon was the first non-British car to be used by a UK force. Here's an old BMW ad from the early 70s too.
barrett Posted December 28, 2009 Posted December 28, 2009 Okay, maybe i'm just being simple, but what is the car that has run into the back of the Cav? Is it one of those Fiats that later became a Yugo? (cannae remember what number they are offhand)
Pete-M Posted December 28, 2009 Posted December 28, 2009 That Mexico was one of six or seven that Merseyside Police had.I had an ex Merseyside Plod Escort RS2000 XEM649W.
fiatdaft Posted December 28, 2009 Posted December 28, 2009 fiat 127bits of it went into the yugo, but not the body.
Dukestar25 Posted December 28, 2009 Posted December 28, 2009 Often seen on old episodes of Traffic Cop Action Wars. Most 'shite' police car used in the UK in recent times?Would have been worth more shite points if it had been the older MPi in GE spec
pogweasel Posted December 28, 2009 Posted December 28, 2009 I can just imagine the two portly Garda giving kids a ticking off for inconsequential things while at the same time being completely blind to massive amounts of drunkery, booze driving, wife-beating and preist/boy interfacing* go on in a chaotic scrum behind them *Other rural irish crime stereotypes are available
