What a bummer. Hopefully it should all come out in the wash as surely they have to make allowances for such situations.

Random guess - North Cormorant ?

Close!

In the Beryls, a couple of hundred miles south :)

(And yes; working on an oil rig should mean that I light my cigars with fifty quid notes, but alas thanks to the ex-missus Largactil this is not the case... )

I'm selling my old camera on eBay, and someone asks how much to post to Ukraine. No problem, except parcel2go lists every country in the world except Ukraine. There's no catch all 'Eastern Europe' option or anything. North Korea is on the list! It'll cost £50 to send the camera there, plus customs fees of life imprisonment for possessing a camera.

Royal Fail/Parcelfarce will definitely send it, and it'll most likely be quite cheap, too. Just make sure it's packed properly and insured.

No offence but I was looking into rig work fairly recently and the lower skilled jobs seemed to offer pretty shit pay all things considered.

As for the housemate - It's a 'she'...Initially I was massively pissed off with her, but now I've had a chance to cool down, I've mellowed.

Every time she's been in the car, I've joked about the on/off switch which is the clutch.

The car was apparently wedged in-between two nice new moderns, parked London-style, with 5mm to spare either side.

She's not insured to drive it, and was terrified that she might have nudged one of the other cars, due to the gippy clutch.

gotta be a "sorry blowjob" on the cards then?

Npower - I switched electric/gas suppliers 2 months ago and I still haven't received my final bill and refund they owe me, about £300

by my calculation.

I'm currently on hold with them as I want to moan about this and threaten them with the ombudsman if I don't get my money soon (this week) .... Current wait is in excess of 45 minutes ....

Ok - now spoken to them, it appears my new supplier hasn't provided them with some info, so I'm now on hold with Sottish Power, 15 minutes and counting so far ...aarrgghhh

NEVER EVER deal with call centres when money is involved. Only written correspondence (e-mail is OK) will do.

I bet working on an oil rig isn't too bad. I'd give it a try, anyway.

In other news, 12 months of trying to sell out house and we have finally taken it off the market. The estate agent we've used for the last 6 months insisted we reduce the price to an unacceptable level, so we eventually took it off the market and have been hit with a £240 cancellation fee, that's on top of the £60 for putting it on the market to start with! Bastards!

I have to deal with Scottish Power through work. They are complete cunts.

I've moved away from them for the Sparky burny stuff on that basis.

Just told my American mates that I can't go to their halloween party. I have a list of pretty good reasons but they are acting like I have murdered their families.

Is it really that bloody important?!
