The grumpy thread

Whether you care for her music or not, and I don't particularly but obviously many did at the end of the day a young woman has died her parents have lost a daughter.

I think this is a commentary on the state of society as it is today and to be honest I think some of the comments on here are a little distasteful!!

Her fucking make up could sink a cunting country.... At least the Tatto industry can recover from the ink shortage. She was a fucking right slag and some.

No prejudice of course.

You really are a sad fuck ..all of you haters..get a life..she had awesum talent..didnt give a fuck..and had addiction issues..u cold male haters probably without an ounce of talent apart from able to polish a turd..and take it some banal middle class car show..

I bet she didn't use 'txt tlk' though.

It's a shame she died but it was self inflicted. Of course as much as the issue is her being a junkie but if the bastards that sold this stuff didn't then there'd be a few less deaths and much less crime.

Her parents lost a daughter the very moment they stopped telling her not to drink, snort and toke etc. She sold out, burned out, pissed on the people whose money she fed off. No talent lost. Just another oxygen thieving, newsprint hogging, waste of space, sunk to lower depths. Sorry if this offends, but that's how I feel about her. It's my opinion. I may not be able to sing, but I don't demand a recording contract worth millions of quid, and then renege on the deal, leaving mililons of fans who have paid a few quid for tickets, without a damn thing now, do I? Were she my Daughter, I would have been somewhat stricter over her upbringing. Her Father sold her out years ago. I mean. The title to her first release? Think about it.

Tommy Cooper entertained until his last breath. As did Eric Morecambe. Not this thing. No. An entertainer doesn't wake up and think "I know, I'll fleece the hard working public and take their money for giving them nothing, and then sneak off". No. An entertainer wakes up and wants to entertain.

She was a fraudster. No talent, no moral values, no point getting upset about it. No loss to humanity. She would have been on the spaceship with hairdresses (PFFFFFFFFFFFT!!!!) and telephone sanitisers.

I think he means compared to Liz Taylor and her 300 cars a week....

Yes that's what I was implying.

Isn't it ironic that her first album was called FRANK. Maybe if she'd of talked to Frank then she still might of been here.

Another grump. I've not been able to log onto Sikipedia since this afternoon.

^ Not THAT different to Janis Joplin then...

I'm far more sympathetic towards the parents of the 80 odd dead in Norway. There's a tragedy :(

I didn't think she was really that good, did anyone get sick of the arsehole music journo's making out like she was the second coming, and then everyone following like sheep?

Nice to see Al Jazeera getting their priorities right when it comes to covering stories: :D

I think Amy Winehouse had a lot of talent. Ok, she pissed it up the wall, but Back to Black was a bloody good album.

As this thread was the first I've heard of her death I'm a bit fucking grumpy that the first thing I read about it was about her being a coke head etc, people taking the piss and calling her for all sorts as if the death of a 27 year old woman who couldn't handle the success her talent brought her is a good thing.

I know if I could sing well enough to become as popular and acclaimed as Winehouse did at the age of 18 I'd have trouble handling it. She couldn't, turned to drink and drugs and now she's dead - and people are still having a go at her.

Until this I'd had a bloody good day with Bollox collecting his car, now I'm just pissed off.

Shocking comments based on Hatred. Well done guys. 1 out of 10.

I have to agree with Pete as regards Amy Winehouse - apart from the liking of Back to black, I preferred the early jazz stuff myself. She was a great contralto.

It's a shame, but then that's the human condition for you :?

Fuggin terrible shame as regards Norway too.

I don't know how the Daily Mail are going to react about the fact one of their readers is responsible. There has been a bit of a backlash to them comparing it with 9/11. Surely more like Oklahoma.

Never liked her songs much, although she had a great voice. It was all self inflicted anyway, maybe it will help the kids learn?... Her parents must be besides themselves, its them I feel sorry for.

Sorry guys, just come back from a wedding piss up.

Never cared for Amy Winehouse, not much to add about her really but don't feel hatred for someone I don't know. Clearly had her issues though.

However, what I find bizarre is that certain newspapers websites had this story above the Norway story where 91 (last time I checked) people have been killed. While it's terrible she died at such a young age, many of the people killed had done nothing wrong other than being in the wrong place at the wrong time. Well done the British media, really bringing the most important news in  while I know it had been the top story up until that news about her came out, I still think it's a far more important issue, but there we go.

Not only that, most of the people killed in Norway were TEENAGERS!

The British media are so fucked up that I find myself getting more and more of my news by Putin's mouthpiece aka RT. :x

What pissed me off most about the terrible events in Norway, was the 'expert' from Chatham House and various others expressing surprise that such a thing could've happened there. There are sick bastards everywhere, who'll act on their own warped sense of justice and morality, in the name of whatever they believe in. And the far right extremists in Norway aren't hard to find.

Oh, and 'experts'; McVeigh wasn't a 'lone wolf', and neither will this guy be. It takes a group to build one individual up to extent where they'll willingly go out and do something this abhorrent.

Shame about Ms Winehouse tho'; I'd a feeling there was better to come from her, if only she could've straightened herself out. Welcome to the 27 Club, love...

Definetly saddened by the loss of Lucien Freud, tho'. The rate he worked at, 88 years wasn't nearly enough!

Just to prove they can never quite scrape the bottom of the barrel enough one of the news channels (probably those airheaded wankers on ITV) interviewed someone Amy Winehouse went to junior school with

I liked a lot of her music and she definately had something different about her voice. I suppose her demise was predictable but it's not something to celebrate.

It's Sunday and I'm bored shitless.

Been looking on Evilbay and Cumtree for something to spend my wad on but there's nowt worth a punt.

Toying with the idea of lobbing a cheeky low offer in on this BX TZD with t+t. Looks nice in black but it's got a couple of issues.

If someone wants to save me from the heartache then I reckon £275 would probably have it pissing strange fluid on your driveway.

Flattened the battery on the golf dicking with the stereo, well, not that flat. Turns the engine over, but there is not enough voltage for the piss poor alarm to click the immobiliser off.

No problem, I'm parked at the top of the steep drive, I'll just bump it down the hill.......

Now I have a golf stuck halfway out into the (Fairly busy) road, and the battery charging from some heath robinson affair I made with an old laptop charger and a couple of headlight bulbs to stop the charger going into OMG PROTECT mode.

A BX forum?

yes - a bit like this forum but only for people who BX! BX'ing is a weird affliction for people who prefer green liquids, a floating sensation and the ability to low ride and high ride with the best of them.

Not so much Pimp your ride, as Pump your ride!

Got my wheel balancing done, it's still wobbling over 50mph after replacing a missing spigot ring. Rung up National Tyres who did the balancing to ask their advice. "oh no mate, must be your discs or a sticking calliper" I did point out it went through the MOT a week prior with no issues but apparently "that means nothing, try your local garage". Thanks guys, real helpful

i am incredibly knackered. There was a little music festival here, and I went out for 3 nights in a row...I didn't even drink that much, and I can't convince myself to get out of bed...only got up at noon, had a little something to eat and now I'm back in bed looking at the screen like a vegetable. I think I have to buy one of these anti-snoring machines in order to stop waking up tired. :?
