did he send them in an old toner cartridge box?

Oh, and just to crown the turd in the waterpipe, the rear NOS mudflaps I ordered for the Amazon nearly two months ago are officially 'lost' in the postal system.

Seller doesn't see why he has to give me a refund, because he sent them on time and with the correct postage.

Lovely.

You will get a refund if you officially enter a dispute on Ebay's system. The new USA rules are that the object MUST reach the Buyer, and the Seller MUST have proof of delivery of same. Regardless of insurance, your Seller is on the hook for it. Ebay will deduct the auction amount right from his account unless he can prove you took delivery.

You're not fooked. The Seller is. BTDT, got the T-shirt. And that's why more and more USA ebay sellers are not selling overseas, because they're getting screwed in many cases by disreputable Buyers who scam them after actually receiving the item, but know that it wasn't sent with tracking. So they can get a refund by denying it ever got to them.

same in the uk norm

i ve had to refund where the buyer claims item undelivered too many times to count this year - German ebayers are the worst culprits

I've found Italy and Spain to be worst for items going missing. We send most of our stuff our with tracking now. It might reduce sales slightly but it means that virtually nothing gets 'lost'

There's a way to do it. Put the pics into an "album". Then when you go into the "album", it will revert to the old system. At least that's how mine works now. I fatigue at software updates also, so know what you mean. Now that I helped you, help me, and FFS get a can of rattle paint that matches the greenish-tan on that estate. It kills me every time I look at it. Off you go now.

Well, I'll see what happens next time I upload some stuff. Don't want to move any of the existing pictures around and break a load of links.

I spent some time in July/August tidying up the bodywork of the Hillman and got some cans that were a much better match than those last ones (yes, they had been made to match but were way off....) But there's not many photos floating around of the car since then. Trouble is the new cans matched the paint on the car that is newer (front wings) very well but then they are a slightly different shade to the bonnet/doors anyway. I'm hoping I might be able to do a complete bottom half respray at some point, maybe in Spring so its all the same shade.

You should be able to see that it is much better than it was here.

^^Ha! Try South America, Lobbie.

ive never had a problem with south america, ive sent parcels to most south american countries and none have been lost.

sometimes the buyer is just trying it on

i.e. i sent a pair of suspension arms to highlands of Scotland in september. last week the buyer emails to say he hasnt received - waited almost 2 months to tell me this - i looked through his feedback, comparing sent and received feedback, and found two other sellers who hadnt received feedback from the buyer. i contacted them and they both tell the same story; buyer said he hadnt received and demanded a refund. i have now emailed ebay with my evidence and i await their response - im not holding my breath for a positive outcome

Knowing my luck, probably.

Mind you, when all of that Yemen \ IED business was kicking off, I ordered and received another package from the USA in an old printer box. It was an old fuel tank. Which still had fuel in it. And some coffee beans for packaging accompaniment. So not only could customs have done me for prohibited substances, I also had foreign organisms in my L@@K OEM RARE PV544 120 VOLVO GAS CAN.

I planted them in the waste ground outside the unit. I'm hoping to cross breed them with a strain of Legionairre's Disease and send them to my erstwhile employers. And possibly the job agency when they ring me up with their bollocks 'feedback' which mysteriously didn't get communicated to me at the time that I may have needed to hear it.

Thats an old drug smuggler trick to throw the sniffer dogs off.

Listen, if there's blow in my gasoline, I'll take on the feds. I can handle a hedgehog wearing lederhosen.

Constant "please vote for my car in X-idol" threads are doing my head in.

...and it doesnt work

sniffer dogs can seperate smells, and a masking smell only alerts the dogs and gives the handler 'just cause' to search

the odour of most illegal drugs, however they are packaged, or masked, take less than 4 hours to permeate their packaging, even if swallowed. Thats according to a book on sniffer dog training i read.

They can't sniff through lead ingots though.... but that's just cocky ;)

The cat got runover again :|

He appears to have got off lightly this time.

Honestly! We live on a road that doesn't go anywhere, theres no more than about 10 cars on it a day (most of those doing about 15mph until they park up outside their house) and the cat only spends about 10 minutes a day outside. What a plonker.

Oh dear Louise, hope the little fella is ok. Any injuries?

I would be an emotional wreck if anything happened to either of mine.

hope so aswell,i have lost a couple that way in the past, moved house and the cats i have don't get out unless its to the pen that they have.

Just grazed paws this time we think. The vets were good- saw him as soon as poss. He was fine in himself, just lounging on the bed, but then I saw the blood-paw prints...

The vet has checked him over and seems to think he's done the most damage to his claws. We just have to wait and see if he is eating ok and what not.

It's disappointing because he seemed to be doing his best to avoid cars since last time, usually he's back in the house in a nano second if he so much as hears a car start down the road.

I've been thinking about that... he hardly leaves the house anyway!

I live in a similar type of street - I ran our cat over when reversing into the drive - the new kitten is lovely

STILL no internet. 23rd November they reckon. Bloomin' hope so! Work is a nightmare, staying in touch with folk is a pain (especially as BT have equipped us with the crappest phone line ever - sounds like we're in mid-Africa rather than still on the British mainland!) and I'm seriously missing Autoshite!

I must be going mad....

Yesterday morning I dropped my mobile phone in the kitchen. As always, the back fell off and the battery fell out. I found the back cover but cannot find the battery...ANYWHERE! I crawled on my hands and knees for 20 minutes scouring every inch of the floor ...even looked inside the tumble dryer for chrissake...can I find it? No. Even got a torch and checked in the adjoining room to see if had bounced in there.

How can a largish phone battery just disappear? Looked again this morning. Nothing. Coat pockets on back of chair. Nothing. Drawers that were closed at the time. Nope! It's driving me nuts.....

when i had a crap line and broadband problems i contact a BT dept. that deals with compensation and asked for a total of my compensation so far, surprising how this speeded up the process.

often BT can put in a temporary line, they dont offer, you have to ask

sorry to hear about the cat. I'd be upset now if it happened to one of our 2 (even though one is 18 1/2), but when I was growing up, we had cats flattened routinely because we lived on a main road so I became numb to it.

I'm in two minds whether or not to write a formal letter of complaint to the job agency. The more I think about this dismissal, the more I think it was done unfairly.

Seriously though, what would it achieve? They'll just think I'm a lunatic and bin the letter anyway.

I'm going to write and ask to be taken off their books anyway. Might leave out the draft that details exactly what I think of **** * and their professionalism.

I wouldn't bother. I'd wait until they send me another job and then not turn up. When they phone to ask why you're not there just let them know that this is for treating you like shit. Ha Ha!

Not bidding enough against the 205 GTi I just failed to win on eBay, I luzzed a good snipe on, then bottled it and reduced the amount. It went for bastarding buttons.

What a cock.
