Blimey, this place is incredible. I want to go back to Ireland now.

Do you have any idea where in Ireland it is Trigger?

Whoa this is awesome! 4dr Escrote in the bog is now my background.Renner 16 looks saveable?

Posted

It's a really surreal scene, there doesn't seem to be any moderns in there at all - it looks like it was a working scrapyard in the late 1980s, abandoned and forgotten about until now.

wow mental and what a stash of ol' motors shame most will be next gen tesco value bean cans

New update time and there is some very rusty tin here!

Volvo right? What the hell happened there? Did Syler want to know the mysteries of its Variomatic existence?

MEGA. Thanks for sharing. That place looks like an environmental disaster in the making, I assume the EU people don't know about it!

Posted

So do we know much about this place? I'm guessing its a yard thats closed and been abandoned? Can't be much of a viable business surely?I think I could spend a happy day or two there though.

Weird way to create a convertible? DAF/Volvo 66 indeed.Love that Fiat 1100 & 600!

Amazing pics, awesome place. Just read the whole thread and don't know whether to grin or cry. Thanks for posting.

I've never seen so many Renault 14s in one place. My dad bought (new) one of the first in the UK, PCY816R, and two years later it was full of rust. Didn't stop us getting another three though

By the way, to be REALLY pedantic - back on page 3 of the thread, that's definitely a Hyundai Pony: C-pillar is too chunky for a Stanza and the rear quarterlight is the wrong shape

These are really awesome pics, thanks for posting. So many cars that haven't graced UK roads for years and years there - very obscure stuff. It really is all proper fooked though isn't it!

Sorry for the pearoast picture, but whats the white thing behind this? Looks like an Uno/Tipo at the back but it's huge and it's a van.....some sort of homemade cut n' shut jobby?
Posted

I can't remember what they are called now, It's a Fiat van based on the Regatta IIRC, There's one in a garaden near me but it's behind a hedge so i can't get close enough to it to get a photo.

Posted

Fiat Citivan, its a panelled-out south american-built Uno estate van thing

Where on earth is it all coming from? It's not like a few years worth of collecting that's been forgotten, there's 70's chod mixed right in with smiley-grilled Escorts ('96 onwards?) and kipper-faced Fiestas that I think are even later, '98 or so.Legend. I love the way it's all on different levels too, part of the landscape. What's his weekly rates for a tent pitch?

Is every car that ever saw Irish tarmac there :?::lol: Whilst scrolling down the pics I suddenly thought...thats a Fiat Citivan...I must comment....But no need, it seems that great minds think alike...or maybe fools never differ  Even when they were current I only ever saw one Citivan. True Commercialshite...... 8)
