Yep, sorry, I meant are you selling the Metro. Obvs not though.

Looking forward to the next exciting installment!

I forget the Metro is a Rover too!

It was a running joke:

'Which car are we taking?'

'The red one'

'Which red one?' '

The Rover'

'fucksake'

Still have the Metro, but need a daily really, so as to keep the miles of it

And the rover has just completed a couple of very busy nights delivering the takeaways. Obviously as the speedo doesn't work no idea how many miles covered, but used 3/4 tank of fuel. Handled itself well.

Oh god if I ordered pizza/kebab/chips/a good curry and it came in this it would be the icing on the, erm, kebab...!?

Edit: perhaps it would be the garlic mayonnaise on the takeaway.

Do takeaways even deliver to the middle of nowhere where you live?

Ace, right up your street I reckon, I'm pleased it's still in the fold.

There’s something about that which I like a lot more than I should...

It's... Interesting.

The engine is revvy and willing, although it hunts a bit at idle.

Bit of an oil leak down the front, hopefully only rocker cover gasket.

Thermostat a bit iffy, meaning heating is poor. Easy enough to sort.

Suspension clatters a lot at the back, needs bushes and/or shock looking at.

Occasionally get a clicking from something somewhere, perhaps central locking or something. It wouldn't be and Italian car without a bit of electrical shenanigans now would it?

Steering pulls a bit to one side and has a slight wobble, which improved when I put some air in the tyres. No power steering, again, improved with putting air in tyres.

Interior was a bit mingy, but then I have high standards tbf. Now all disinfected and cleaner.

Parcel shelf broken, seats a bit ripped and dirty, but I'll throw some seat covers in. Steering wheel scruffy and chipped, cover ordered.

Interior plastics such as arm rests / handles are pitted and ruined might get some material to cover them.

All in all, plenty to keep me busy, but nothing insurmountable.

That's brilliant.

Excellent!  And such an inconspicuous* colour...

Yeah, the owner before Colc used it hard but looked after it mechanically I think. Am I right in thinking it's a 60?

Yeah, 60SX. It appears it has been used as a Marshalls car and possibly a trials car too. It has loads of 'character'

Hmmm, great engine for a Panda😉

I take it that with the wedding to come, the plan is to arrive in this, drive straight down the ailse. Ending with a handbrake turn at the alter?

Nice Punto, I loved mine. Went out looking for that exact spec, SX got the rev counter and electric windows iirc but I didn't want PAS at the time. Only downer on mine was it was a 5 door and the 3 door like yours was always a better looking car. Bit jealous, enjoy it!

Fiat content😁

Just browsing atm - far too cold for me to be going near a car outside of the weekly Tescos run. I'm a wimp!

It's pretty cool, apart from the clattering from the rear that sounds like the whole rear beam is held on with cable ties! 😂

Bushes on the rear arms were about the only thing I ever wore out on mine, don't last forever.

..oh, and a clutch.

On these FIRE engines, the cam cover gasket needs a blob of RTV sealant in each corner where the camshaft passes through. This isn’t a bodge, it was how Fiat originally did it but so many I’ve seen leak because a new gasket is fitted without the RTV.
