“oh so English country village”

We are somewhere in the Cotswolds?

I can’t fault the car, taking the trip well. From Bahnn Storming the motorways to the narrow, twisty country roads.

The random village is Wickwar I used to commute through there

If it comes back up for roffle again 1 Random please. Always wanted an isuzu engine and have had a mk4 1600 pez. Nice car. Kept eating headgaskets though :-(

Long time no post, So since it's been a while the Roffle is NOT on anymore as i'm sure everyone will have forgotten about it.

Anyways, I'm needing rid of it so I'll offer it here before I try Facebook & Gumtree to try flog it, and then finally before it gets cubed.

So what to say?

No MOT, On 200k miles, It starts but will need a new battery, the brakes are very rusted and it's not been washed for a while and the arches are crispy but solid. A service would do it some good too. Oh and the big problem...I'm theres a rather loud rumble at times and when turning there a big crack/rumble sound...I'm guessing front suspension. (Bearing tops or something). If I could be arsed I'd have seen about having a proper look myself and sorting it, but even if its a cheap-ish fix of £100 thats £100 i'd rather keep of now as i'm still out a job. So it would need to be trailered away.

I had it started up today, thanks to the Lexus via jumpstart ran fine and took it up and down the street (perks of a Cul-de-sac), was fine until I turned it off and then it wouldn't start up unless I jumped it again. @Supernaut can confirm this, and also how good* it is overall. I NO WOT I GOT...

So I'm after £100, and i'll even clean it for a bottle of cheap Chianti! (Kind I know.) Ideally wanting it gone by the week of the 12th October. 🥳

Yeah, I'm expecting distance to be an issue since Aberdeen area is the ass end of nowhere for 97% of users on here...🤣

But though i'd offer before I attempt to try gumtree and Facebook, can't wait to get offered a broken Xbox 360 and a knockoff-knockoff wish..com watch...

It's a fod van companion!

@Six-cylinder should buy it, then in true autoshite fashion try and get it from Scotland to the fod for the same amount as le van cost to get from not_far from the fod...

Then we make it do 50 miles around a field sometimes sideways as a celebration*

Then flog both to @Cavcraft for £££

In fairness that probably wants to be at least 50, maybe 75-100% more on Gumtree or Facebook. Those engines are still quite sought after I'm told.

The plan is to be cheeky and try it for £250 - 300 on the general market and see what I get offered but expect £200. I've seen stuff in worse condition sell for much more...

Sadly not. I got annoyed with fuckwits offering £100 or less and then no doubt trying to haggle down once they viewed.

A FB stalking showed nearly everyone who asked about it  liked/followed several local breakers/scrap metal places too. but all needed it for ‘there own car‘ of course . One tried claimed they only wanted it for ‘a few bits’ and how ‘they only make £60 scrapping it after they got there bits’...

In the end I took £100 from a scrappy down Edinburgh way, and free pickup. A price I was willing to let it go here for.
