I once had (an indicated) 96 out of a 1.5D Citroën AX when I got stuck in a line of fast-moving German traffic in the outside lane of the M4.  It was still pulling at that speed too, but it also felt as if it was about to leave Earth's orbit.

I'm very happy at 65-68 mph. This 205 might be able to get up around 90mph but I don't want to be the person to find out.

Hopwood Park is another services I can tick off the list. Reasonable but nothing to write home about. They're automatically marked down for having upstairs toilets though. I guess the problem is that Tebay has set the bar so high. Everywhere's a disappointment after Tebay.

Bye bye little Peugeot. I'll be back for you tomorrow, with tales of Scotland. The cars I will be driving are just flings, they mean nothing, you are the one I'll be coming home to.

Not withstanding stepping on toes, if 106 taxed/tested/not far from Shrewsbury station could probs bring back here for Bucketeer to collect for you.

You may need to ask Bucketeer to carry out a full PDI if billy is involved..

But there's an escalator!  Unlike its almost-namesake on the M6 near Cannock...

I didn't like it, it felt odd, can't explain why.

It damns the services (whose name I've already forgotten) with faint praise when the most memorable thing about it is that the toilet is upstairs.

After a bit of a switcheroo in Glasgow I've been upgraded to executive class for the return journey.

Will that be faster than the 205?

The V8 Audi and the XUD 205 are very similar cars in many ways, but at a push I think the A8 might just have the legs.

The 205 though is just as fast as the Audi when they're both doing 68mph.

 

Currently, I have stopped to have a lovely little nap.
