One for you shite lickers, this is being sold by a colleague at work and I make no guarantees about the car but it has been reliable transport for his missus for the last few years

Nissan Micra Automatic

1.3 Petrol

1 weeks MOT remaining, but the car will come with a fresh ticket.

Looks fairly tidy, the sills are in good condition. dent in tailgate, wheel trims are present in the boot.

starts immediately, no lights on on dash, brakes are bit grindy but it has been stood a few months so should clean up ok.

The car is in Windermere, Cumbria, LA23

No roffles as it's not my car.

I’d start the bidding at £75, have you seen what £300 buys on here lately.

Well £75 won't buy it, its going to come with a 12 month ticket on it, I don't see many small 5 door automatic hatchbacks on here with a full mot for £300.

As I've said, its not my car, £300 is the price, regardless of what you bid :)

300 quid is an absolute bargain with a years ticket. Pretty much free motoring

Indeed, a free years motoring with little likelihood of a FTP for £300 must be a good deal for someone in need of A-B transport. With these sort of cars you are literally buying the MOT certificate in my opinion. Scrap it at the end of the 12 months if not mechanically minded and get some change back from it, or roll the dice on a test if you can do work on it yourself. Easy. GLWTS.

Forgot to say it has desirable extra's such as wind deflectors on all the windows, mudflaps, a manual aerial, banging choons, electric windows, power steering and an airbag, its positively the height of luxury for such a small car and sports more standard equipment than a 1965 Rolls Royce.

A small automatic with 12 months MOT for £300. There's nothing not to like.

Micras of this generation are very rare now. There's a few immaculate ones in Southend still driven by the original pensioners but very few others, because they rot for fun like the MK1 Almeras I'm guessing. Looks a decent car and I imagine the engine will go on for ever.

£300 for a years motoring is nothing. Buy it, don’t spend a penny on it unless absolutely necessary, then collect £100 in a year when you bale it. Happy days.

I love this shap Micra, I cut my teeth learning to drive in my mats dads, I'm sure it was an M plate, pure autoshite spec. on our local industrial estate on a sunday morning. I drive past a pretty P plate every now and then.

For an old car they do seem to hold their money very well indeed. A good polish and interior vacuum you'd see that up for double the money off these pages.

Not in the least, I know you've got your heart set on an Invacar but that would be an ideal first car for a shiter.

tis exactly part of the reason for the "ooooh" but pffft that would mean being logical and sensible* about it all :)

(*glossing over the fact that with anything vaguely modern, insurance would ream me, id have to pay Tax, worry about MOT/Crusty sills, and its probably not (U)LEZ friendly)

That's great but I was really looking for a car with a slightly bigger gear selector. ;)

Ha ha, friend of mine had a mark 1 as his first car and we used to make similar jokes - the selector on that looked like a jet throttle. Almost as if it was overcompensating for something!

I know it is as the owner has been working and doesn't have a day off till Thursday, I did say it'll be sold with a fresh mot, which it will, but its been spoken for now anyway.
