Anyhow, in case the photos don't endear you to this car, perhaps the vendor's winning* attitude will do...

ALFA ROMEO CLASSIC CAR, NEEDS WORK, BARN FIND - Picture 2 of 15

Previously mine:

That's 2018 by the way.

I think it's the same guy, he drove his Hyundai Matrix to my old old address, drove the 164 back home and never came back for the other car. It got dragged away by the council in the end.

The Alfa had all sorts of minor things going wrong constantly. The guy I got it off had a mod haircut and had a scooter as a display piece in his kitchen. So yeah, that was a weird ownership.

vauxhall cavalier gsi - Picture 3 of 6

Comes with a 'donar' car for the bodywork, so I think we can safely suggest this'll pop with the 'J' reg on at some point as a genuine* GSi.

Not sure what the extra stripe is about, nor what the sticker says on the wing, but what a bloody wonderful car.

I know they had their problems, but i always liked the look of Viva's over the common or garden escort they were up against. And how relatively cheap is that compared to any escort now

They were definitely better looking, especially compared with the MK2 Escort and tended to have better engines and build quality. They were one of my favourite cars when I was a kid, partly because my Grandad & my Uncle both owned them. My Grandad's had done over 170000 miles when it went for scrap!

They didn't rust as much as Escorts, either.

Seller appears to be a) on pills, and b) a massive cunt.

"Injection"

Certainly not a factory stripe, probably a period accessory.

Highly recommend these. That 3.7 engine (vendor says 3.5, but it's not) are a peach and I think much better than the 3.2 petrol. They'll tow anything, too, and are actually a nice old thing to whang round in.

Not recommended if you live in a dinosaur infested area...
