These used to be everywhere, quite possibly would have loaded a tank behind this at some point. I think TDG ended up being taken over by Nobrot Dressingtable.

I went to Ford Fair at Silverstone, 2022 maybe?

It's pretty much as you and @sierraman described. Lots of mouthbreathers with tropical tint windscreens.

I was there with my Puma and there were maybe 20-30 from the Puma club including Boring John who chewed my ear off about how much he'd paid for tyres.

The whole thing was pretty depressing. The most interesting car (for me) was a fish-face Scorpio so I spoke to the owner but sadly he was a halfwit.

There was a chance to go on the track for £££ but I did think the odds of being driven into by a mullet from Manchester were too high for my liking.

"Boring John", amazing 🤭🤭🤭.

I cannot remember the guys name from the RS Club meeting but what a fucking doughnut. I can't recall how but me and mate ended up at an rs owners club power run, I think it was because my mate had been talking to another Cossie owner in a carpark and he had a really tasty escort Cosworth.

The guy must have mentioned a rolling road session and they invited him along knowing the car would do pretty well on the rollers as it had all the bits. The actual guy who ran the branch was ok to be fair, but it was just a good portion of the other members who were really annoying.

Anyway bellend came in and started complaining about the way the local Ford dealer had reversed his car onto the ramp, reckoned they "came close" to catching the back bumper.... So they didn't actually catch it then?

Then he reckoned the rolling road where they'd been for a power run had been rigged because all the figures were off, his rs turbo should have been 220bhp but it barely made 185, clearly the rolling road was the issue, he was going to speak to them and get it sorted.

Thing was, my mate had his car there the week before and it made 331bhp, it went back and made 330bhp, so pretty damn accurate in my books, this was interpro in Bristol.

He then spent the journey home driving at 60 mph in convoy. Me and my mate got so fucked off we just fucked off at decent speeds and never went back.

Saw another member a few months later, a right boring cunt but not too be rude asked how he was and what the club were up to. He said the numbers had really dropped and bellend wasn't a member anymore after an argument about why his car wasn't the centrepiece of the regions rs turbo section at ford fair. It was a minter to be fair and he'd spent (literally) every penny he earned on it but someone else in the club had I think a totally original series 1 custom with about 10k miles on it, a rare sight 25 years ago let alone now so they wanted that centre stage. Saw bell end years later in all the Subaru regalia when they started getting really popular, never spoke to each other but he was instantly recognisable to me, must have been boring Subaru members 🤣🤣🤣.

It felt like a tedious club where everybody just bitches each other and stamped their feet until they got their way.

And fuck me were they critical of any car that didn't meet their "criteria". I had an OKISH saff Cossie in moonstone, 2wd, went really well but a bit rough around the edges, not rusty but well used, leather a bit flakey, few dings and dents, crap paint job but I hammered it pretty much everyday and everywhere so it was never a show winner, although it never gave me any crap 🤣🤣🤣. I got the "yeah, everyone starts somewhere" treatment from one cunt.... Same cunt I later found out was in his 40's living with his mum in his bedroom when I'd just bought my first house at 23 🙄🙄🙄..... Back in a time when everybody could buy one mind, not like now , he was very much the odd one out😬😬😬. Worst thing was his was a bit of a bag of shit as well 🤣🤣🤣🤣.

It appears to have no running water or tanks - no mention of how it works. It certainly has no bathroom or bog.

Removing the decking is going to make a mess of it.

Re-siting it will probably require planning permission.

No close-up shots of vehicle exterior or mention of plating status - presumably will need transportation.

Sleeping platform looks completely claustrophobic.

Apart from that it's £35,000 for an old horsebox.

I think that’s Neil Jones- one of the main sources for Mk1 breakers parts.

Oh, that would explain it. I remember driving past that yard about 5 years ago and wondering what that was all about. There's a boatload of them there.

Straight from the worst period of GM styling, I always thought these were ugly. I never realized until recently but the Rendezvous was Buick's first SUV, what a low point to start from.

After my spot of an Elswick Envoy a couple of weeks back one comes up for sale!

I drove past that on the way to the coast last week, it's been there for years. The house (something of a project as you may imagine) and an adjacent plot of land are/were for sale too. Some years ago the place was really overgrown and all sorts of end-of-life vehicles came and went, including a Mk2 Transit and bus of some sort.
