Front end looks like the JDM "EuroR". If it's consistent with earlier models I'd expect it to be either 2.2 Vtec or 2.3 non-vtec, same as Prelude and our own Accord Type-R.

The SiR model of these wagons had a 2.3 DOHC VTEC engine and only came in 2 wheel drive.

If it’s 4wd then it’ll be a single cam F series VTEC engine.

When I was importing the odd car here and there ten years ago, these Accord wagons could be picked up for buttons. I always fancied one, but you could get twin turbo Legacy’s for similar money and they had a following here that made them a safer buy for re-sale.

You'd probs get a few quid back selling those hideous wheels.

I always wanted a Caldina in the Carina E shape but I doubt any importer would have taken such a request seriously lol.

The first time I saw a Caldina GT-T, I realised how short changed we got compared to the Japanese market. It’s like any car they sold domestically, by default they made an absolutely mental version of it. I would’ve loved to have brought in some of that kit, but was too scared I wouldn’t see my money back. I should’ve had faith that there was someone out there for every motor 😂

Even when we did get the "hot" models they'd always suffer some downgrade. Look at the tail light arrangement for A70 Supras compared to what we got. Disgrace!

I'm probably going to get some stick for this but I quite like it.

Someone's tried very hard to ruin that. Why, FFS?

If that's as good as it sounds and looks from the advert, then it's ace for £2,500. I had a facelift 1.8 SRi saloon  in this colour, absolutely brilliant thing.

God help me but I really fancy a hopeless old Escort.

would a carb 1.6 cvh essentially be the old xr3 engine?

Seller dropped the price of this down from £2.5 bags to £995 then ended the listing a couple of hours later.
