Seller's description

Car requires new header tank and it's not something I can afford at the moment due to labour costs. Also could probably do with a cambelt if you are fixing it. So selling as spares and repair. It has a few minor niggles which most of these cars do but it's in reasonable nick and does start and drive but will need trailoring away. It does have a decent service history lots from a specialist garage and 2 keys. The wheels were recently refurbished and the tyres are 18 months old and just done 500 miles. Please let me know if you have any questions

As far as I understand it, that applies to (goods) vehicles which weigh 3500kg or less

https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/media/5f7eceefe90e07741465559a/v112-declaration-of-exemption-from-mot.pdf

heavy goods vehicles have a different exemption form, and only vehicles built before 1960 are MOT exempt on that

https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/media/5b893d08ed915d5ad963fd09/v112g-declaration-of-exemption-from-goods-vehicle-testing.pdf

He might be attempting to use the test exemption because it's a recovery truck, but even that is bollocks as the only one legitimately MOT exempt are 3501kgs or more and spec lift only and genuine recovery only. Moving your own vehicles, towing stuff to scrap and 'hire and reward' all need an MOT.

Has anyone driven one of these? I have fond memories from NFS Underground, but never had a chance to drive one. I read they aren’t really good.

I had an R/T one and it was pretty good other than the low rent interior .The r/t had a manual box though , not sure what the slush box is like .

I really need to find one to try, and definitely not buy it if I can’t find one to borrow. 🤣

Not a huge fan of these, but an early(ish) Mk1 Focus 3 door must be quite rare now

Cheeper than hiring one for your 'big' day

I was thinking of doing a niche camper conversion!
