This was on eBay for weeks with a buy it now price of £3250, it actually sounds alright and even at £3750 is at the  lower end of what some chancers are trying  to get for Mk3s. As I’m a weirdo it would be more appealing to me with its original cloth and steels.

It’s funny, people ( in general and car journalists) moan about Citroen Peugeot etc plastics in the 1980s and 90s ( and on) but Ford were no better and more expensive. Having said that I think it looks good with the leather snd alloys.

That's also presumably the age-related number that it was registered with, and not a "priv8 pl8 m8".

There will be it's like for years ads for 2dr Mk5 cortinas always said "only 11 left"!!!!!!

Because how many left said so, when in reality it was that only 11 logbooks said 2 Dr saloon them while the rest just said saloon.

One of my MK3 GT 's says 2 Dr the other doesn't. So obviously that's one less that exists.

Not for sale, but about to be crushed unless the owner is found, I guess.

Doctors cars get absolutely thrashed from cold

I’ve no idea why a doctor is better than, say a bishop? My sister and brother in laws are both doctors ( PhD and DPhil) and know nothing about cars- I get to arrange fixes or ask questions here and I only have 11 letters after my name.

Did these have a hard top back add-on or am I thinking of something else?

They did indeed, unless this was a later add on

Defiantly agree, I robbed this photo off the retro rides forum. Looks like a bloke of good taste to me

Yes I think they were quite popular with north wales farmers at the time. Able to fit some livestock in the back.

You couldn’t give these away a few years ago. There were a couple always for sale at Beaulieu autojumble for years for a hundred or two.
