Right.

It's been a long time since an Autoshite Save happened.  They're always brilliant and glorious, and a source of good reading material.

So can everyone have a think about what they actually WANT from life, realise it's an original Austin miniMETRO in Brown, cough up some pennies and get this thing bought?

I've ommitted the front valance photo because I don't want to frighten you off.

Seriously, this is what it's all about.  This.  A brown miniMETRO.  With further brown.

No excuses.  Who's in?

Now relisted "DUE TO A TIMEWASTER" with a threat to "SCRAP IT" if silly price is not achieved.

Apparently the number plate is worth more than £1,500 🙄

Oh, one of those people. I do hope they don't follow through with their threats.

It's fucked, it's been in an accident, kids have jumped on the roof, pretty much every panel is shagged and it's been sat for ten years.

"If I don't get £1500, I'll scrap it for about £300 worth of spares".

Because that makes total sense. What a weapons grade thundercunt.

Cheap Berlingo with a floppy knob but the best engine (2.0 HDI) and enough free guano to fertilise a field.  Also, despite what the seller says, it still has a month's test left.  I'd be tempted, but my recent experiences with buying shonky diesel Citroëns from Sussex have not been good.

I'm watching a 1/18 scale model that's now third time round (at least).  Reduced by a fiver from the first time I saw it and now he's saying the same thing.  So bring it down a bit more then!  Wanting a tenner for postage isn't helping...

Glad to be of assistance.

We eventually kind of got a mk4 version in the UK.  I mean the Gsi version of the mk4  has a version of the same engine.

( as did the zafira)

He's threatening to scrap a 1/18 scale model?  I didn't think there was much demand from scrapyards for that kind of thing.

No mention of experiences buying shonky Talbots from Suffolk though, so please let us know how you get on...

To be fair, £300 is about all it's worth.

Don't look at it as slightly* over-priced van look at it as an (almost) mobile moped storage unit.

But I already have a completely mobile moped storage unit.  And it's one of those nice reliable Ivecos which go on forever, not some shonky French thing.

Stick up a low mileage 1275 engine/box/train on eBay for £300 and see how many offers you get in the first 6 seconds of listing.

It’s fine to begrudge the prices - but things have moved on.

That was a driveway ornament /premium storage solution in Colchester for the last few years.
