^^ (1954 Standard Eight posted 2 hours ago, previous page), no proper bootlid till 1957. That must have made things a bit awkward sometimes, especially if you were of ample size or advanced age.

Imagine trying to get a fully loaded toolbox in and out of there.

Split folding rear seat.  Posh!

£1295 BIN, I would use this at work to commute from my desk to the toilet.

There seem to be a lot of relatively inexpensive tiddler bikes out there, I could get into these.

while o the look out for a local sensible replacement for the Rover 75. this jewish racing beige beauty has caught my eye.

because i'm an idiot.........

with age the P38 has got better looking from when it was launched, as when new i didn't much care for them.

but now they are i think a fine looking car. and current Range Roonies, as that what they are, are fit for footballers wives and wanna be gangsta types on any sink council estate.

awful, just awful.... well here is that P38 anyway.

Any use to anyone? Looks pretty tidy, looks like it’s had a bit of welding on the sills but overall pretty nice.  Stoke on Trent ST6

i learnt to drive on one like that, some 28 years ago.

it was the smol car my mother had, and been 17 i HATED been seen in it. i was SO SO embarrassed by the bloody thing!

hell even been seen in the rusty mark 1 sierra that my father was smoking around in was preferable to been seen the flippin' Metro.

now, how ever, i love to get a Metro as good looking as that. the only thing its missing are its little, round black hub caps to go with its 12 inch mark one wheels.

funny how things change, huh?

When I'm in my P38 driving past new Range Rovers and RR Sports they just look like toys in comparison. The P38 looks purposeful and has aged reasonably well in terms of looks. Also I suspect a P38, despite all its reliability problems, is still more dependable than a new one.

Sedness. This is a breaker. But it's got the rare light leather interior. Save it!

Once there was this Seat who
Got into an accident and couldn't drive to school

s-l1600.jpg

But when he finally came to the back
He found the only bit left was the o/s/r light
He said that it was from when

someone bust a cap up his ass

Once there was this girl who
Wouldn't go and have a fag with the girls in the bike shed
But when they finally made her
They saw a thong attached to her body
She couldn't quite explain it

and didn't seem to fucking care

mm mm mm mm

s-l1600.jpg

But both the girl and boy were glad
'Cause one kid had it worse than that
'Cause then there was this boy whose
Parents had a VW Golf and used to make him get a lift to and from school
And when they went to their church
He shook and lurched all over the place
He couldn't quite explain it
I bet it was the loss of face

Be like me and own a Lincoln Mark VIII in the UK. This is the first time in a long time I see one come up for sale here. This one is a '93, the first model year that is generally considered the quickest (ECU tuning) but more plasticy inside and with the imo least desirable grey interior. Interestingly enough the taillight bar on the trunklid was disfigured in the same way as mine when I got it...

Mileage is unknown as it got a new cluster at one point. There are probably a bunch of other typical problems with it but its still worth saving.

this daft noddy bike project is worryingly close to home, and cheap enough to be of interest.....

i know nothing about these, other than the bobbies used to use them, and they are pretty silly.

also the lack of a logbook is a concern. though i guess the number plate and frame number (if it has one) would be enough to get a log book off of the DVLC?

I can't find a link to the listing?

but the Reg plate does not show up anything on the DVLA site sadly, so either the vehicle is not on the DVLA database because its been off the road since before the 1970s/1980s or its been plate raped and someone has the number on retention

if it is on the DVLA database you will need to know its current registration number and its Chassis/Frame/VIN number

then you can fill out a V62 and apply for the logbook

(if its a case of the vehicle has been off the road a really long time and not on the DVLA database, then you have go through the royal PITA that is claiming the reg and registering the vehicle with the DVLA for the first time)
