That's a honey. Looks like it's been smeared with most of the RS catalogue of the time too, and doesn't look bad for it.

I would. Definitely.

Edit: Apart from the steering wheel, that can FRO.

Zoinks! A Renault 5 Monaco and it's on my doorstep. Seeing this has got me in a frenzy! Bad photos, no tax or test and clearly not mintola so it'll probably go for pennies. Someone please buy this and put me out of my misery.

Not only does it look vile, it also takes away the cruise control feature by removing the buttons!

I bought this today, I fancied a change and this looked pretty good VFM and was pretty local so a deal was done. No epic collection report other than going around the big roundabout by the Willington cooling towers twice!

Ultra reliable (and soon to be regretted no doubt) Bluebird sale will be forthcoming.

Will someone please buy this or I just might.

£350 seems an absolute steal. Long MOT, some tax, 94k miles. If it was 1993, I would have claimed it by now.

Some-one else please buy this little smasher.

It's a crap listing so may go cheap, and I went to see it today and whilst it is a little tatty in very superficial ways (and a door bottom) it is overall incredibly solid, just let down by a mis-matched interior.

I want it desperately but after a thorough re-evaluation of the cars and drive situation I realised that there is literally no room what so ever until the caravan is gone, which it isn't.

This is one of those fibreglass makeovers to turn an old Rolls Royce into a footballer's special. Here's my hint for business success, it's all in the fucking presentation!

I think we've all fallen for that little Morris. Base spec, vinyl seats, filthy dirty - simply get it though an MOT and drive it as is. I hope some dust cap cleaning concourse tweed jacket doesn't ruin it by cleaning it up.

Curse you Gareth! I just came on to post that UMM, it's rather special.

That's the first thing I would plan to do after getting it legal...

Although it would be epic driving it round with just a clean wiper path on the screen!

Shame if the Bluey goes Simon, you've really looked after it.

I thought all that shape were RS500s? Oops

EDIT WIKI:

"Sierra RS500 Cosworth

Ford Sierra RS500 Cosworth.

Mike Moreton was head of the team that planned to develop an evolution edition aimed at making the car unbeatable on the race tracks. In March 1987, Aston Martin in Tickford was signed for the job of converting the 500 cars.

The Cosworth RS500 was announced in July 1987 and was homologated in August 1987.

The main difference to the Sierra 3 door Cosworth was the uprated Cosworth competition engine. Its new features were:[2]

The engine had a thicker walled cylinder block to cope with the rigours of the track.

A larger Garrett T31/T04 turbocharger.

A larger air-air intercooler.

A second set of 4 fuel injectors and a second fuel rail (unused in the roadgoing version).

The fuel pump was uprated.

A reworked induction system to allow higher power outputs to be realised.

The oil and cooling system were both also uprated.

The rear semi-trailing arm beam had extended but unused mounting points.

The RS500 also had minor external cosmetic differences to its parent the Sierra 3 door Cosworth:

The rear tail gate had a lower spoiler in addition to the upper whale tail, which had an added lip.

Discrete RS500 badges on the rear tail gate and front wings.

A redesigned front bumper and spoiler to aid cooling and air flow, including the removal of the fog lamps and their replacement with intake grilles to supplement brake cooling

Exactly 500 RS500s were produced, all of them RHD for sale in the UK only - the biggest market for this kind of Ford car. It was originally intended that all 500 would be black, but in practice 56 white and 52 Moonstone Blue cars were produced .[1"

Aye, that's not a 500 - and it's totally standard so missing the RS500 bits like badging and the extra spoiler. Plenty of fake 500s out there!

Was it an old wives tale that the roadgoing RS500 could be massive upgraded in power (rumour has it to 500bhp, so says endless blokes down endless pubs) by plugging a wire into the second fuel rail? I can't believe it'd be that easy, OR that the rest of the car would take 500bhp without upgrades, but it's a nice thought. And I guess holomologolomolation cars have to be pretty close mechanically to their racing versions.

It is, but the wheels and the close-ups of various blebs and whatnot suggest it's not a minter. The only ones to compare it to on UK ebay are clean enough to eat your dinner off so they're megamoney. I'd want many more pictures before heading off with my passport and I'd also be interested in how much is knocked off resale value because someone put the steering wheel on the wrong side.

Was considering driving this to "not chumley", but due to being quite fond of my internal organs remaining where they are, i decided against it.
