Why did they do it springs to mind

 

Because previous owner knew sod all about body repair and had limited funds so took the easy way out to excuse the shit state of the body. I thought that's why they all done that. Looks like it's been in a fire, looks gudd M6.

Pre 1980 has been NCT exempt for years (2010?) It's obviously been here years (the black metal plates are a giveaway)

 

There's no good reason somebody hasn't spent €200 on vrt; it's been 30 a decade at this stage

 

Wonder what it's MOT history is like
