1988 Isuzu Gemini 'Irmscher edition' - €850

Dead common here at the time (along with the Aska which was Ascona / Cavalier based) but usually with a 1.5 Opel diesel lump and regularly with the body kit. Posted because they really are a rare sight now (and were by 2001)

Your chance to own some real mid-engined shite that's not Japanese. Someone buy it before some moron turns it into some kind of Ferrari abomination. Seems very cheap for the condition, too.

I like it. But the reason for not buying it would be you could never sell it again. Even on here ;-)

Decided I want to buy a yank cruiser of some kind, the more undesirable the better. But this time...I'd like something not as worn out as the Cutlass I had.

This looks fine:

Suspiciously cheap..?

Yes, but 12 months MOT, so WCPGW ….

Can I get dibs if you do ;)

If FJ covered me on this I'd be half tempted....I'll run a quote but I doubt. It's more or less a yank init?

Bodged arch rot though, it's a bugger to fix and bait for MOT testers (all 90s Hondas go there and are not cheap or simple to fix). Personally I'd avoid.

For a bag I'd sooner go for this:

Meanwhile, these 5th gen Accords are becoming very rare as well now. I love the fact that Honda decided to sell their JDM Ascot Inova instead of the Accord the rest of the world received here, as they are much better looking cars imo. This very tidy example costs next to nothing and comes in a wonderful shade of 90s green:

It's like how we got hatchback Honda Domanis as the Civic 5dr and Rover HH-R 400. In the case of those though I prever the Civic saloon/Ferio, though nobody really wanted small saloons here in the '90s.

I like the Ascot Innova, with its Prelude-esque nose. From Honda's dull period interior-wise though which is off-putting. A 2.3 auto would suit me well, mind.

The above Accord is also for sale on Facebook Marketplace. There are some interior pics on there revealing a wooden centre console, all-round electric windows, and ostensibly cruise control (there are steering wheel buttons), which makes the lack of alloy wheels slightly puzzling from a spec perspective.
