I'm yet to own a V8 and the temptation was too great, so I've bought it. The lad will even deliver it half way, thus saving me a trip to Rhyl. MAX WIN!

Not ebay , have we had this one yet etc etc , from f book , but on retroshite

Anybody fancy this rare old workhorse?

Bought it in February as I needed a big car. Was using it do a lot of gardening, and house work. Endless runs to the tip. Car has never let me down. Four good tyres, decent brakes. I drove it down to Derbyshire and back recently, it handled the trip with no hassle at all. Car done around 133k

The MOT is due in the middle of August, it passed the previous MOT with no advisories. the windscreen is cracked, just above the dashboard, but apart from that I can't see it needing much else. The boot only opens from the inside, I rigged something up with a wire, so it could easily be opened from inside, but I'm sure it'll be an easy fix.

Looking for around £200. Still has plenty of life left in it. Could even be used until the MOT is up, and you'd still get most of your money back for scrapping it.

Usually means diesel Maxi so I'm going on one of those.

Shucks.  It is a Gooner after all:

JRG though.

Must be worth a punt

Apparently it is also legendary.

I rated my Laguna estate 'mostly decent for £220.'

After a brush with the world's worst Monaco V6, which I collected from Haverfordwest on a school night only for it to

boil a bank 4 miles from the seller's house, Laguna stock was not high.

I ended up on safer ground with my BRG Evado production car, ex v8Scania of this parish. It had a DI 1.9 DTi, the interim diesel engine between the IDI 2.2 and 'full depression runway' 1.9 DI DCi.

Larger than a Xantia TD wagon, no OMFG fanboi suspension, similar (sometimes better) fuel economy and decent rust resistance.

The gearbox was pretty much destroyed at 223k, though.

I ended up selling it to Partridge, where it ended its life as a crack den (not through his choosing).

Love that Merc, RobT.  I recently got a CLS 320, only six cylinders and diesel, but lovely motor.

Bidding doesn't start at £1,487.49. Oh no. It also doesn't start at £1,487.51. No, it starts at £1,487.50, believe it or not.

Have fun with matching the colour.

Right. Add a £3743.98 paint job to the £1,487.50.

Or be like me and don't give a shit.

Relisted at £1000 start
