I had a Silver Shadow - they need a lot of care. I found the brakes and suspension a bit complex. I think thats why the previous model is a bit more easy to live with.

When I was a kid, Classic Car or Thoroughbred and Classic Cars as it was then, ran one of these as a staff car and I thought it was the bollocks, later when you could pick them up for a few hundred quid I decided they were too slow and old fashioned . I'd managed to forget about them for nearly 40 years, they seem to have become worth a bit more now.

I am coincidentally going to Tenterden tomorrow. Was going to drive but might get the train instead so I am free to drive home again in case some tat falls my way

I remember that!   Michael Bowler ran it, IIRC.  It was mighty crusty too.

Now I like a small French hatchback as much as the next man, but I'm not sure I'd get quite that, erm, over-excited over a P reg Clio.
