"The conversion was carried out last year and started off as a 2007 Mk5 Astra Van. The engine was changed to the 1.9 CDTI 150 during the conversion. Good luck

I bought the car as a non runner after it sat for 10 years in a garage

This is one of those moments when one lapidary sentence makes me instantly realise that I'm merely playing in a minor league here.

This man must be Shanghaied into our fraternity, if need be with force.

This is what I want.  However, I can't really tie up £4k at the moment - so will continue to paddle in the shallow end whilst other shiters do it properly.

You couldn't sleep at night with that Granada on the driveway.

You would need a pack of attack dags specially trained to recognise the sound of a Hiab.

I stopped and oggled the cloth seated S430 for five minutes.

Just brilliant*.

I have spent the last 48 hours working out how I'm going to rearrange my fleet of 4 non-working cars to accomodate this. Unfortunately I just can't see a way I could get in and out without considerable expense, which I can't justify for a car I really want but don't need. It seems a bargain price for a low mileage, probably giffer owned S-Type, especially for a later type with the 4.2, six speed box and apparently far less troublesome suspension. Has the Denso satnav too, for which 2012 discs are easily available. A bit of googling suggests that the ABS fault will require a new front wheel bearing with integrated sensor. At the moment they are £130 at ECP once you bang the usual discount code in.

If anyone fancies smoking around in this until the MOT's up I'll buy it off you then for whatever it owes you, or thereabouts!

I cannot wait to pick up my S Type at the weekend

These are utterly great cars!

Must be getting impatient.  Pulled the classified ad and rerunning now as no reserve 99p start auction

It was up back in mid-December

I like it a lot and thought it would have been snapped up by now.  Then again it has been changing hands a tad in recent years.  The Alfa 155 wheel addition being recent.

Hmmmm.....  Nice colour in and out.

Currently under 800 notes reserve not met, £1600 BIN, 1 day left.  London too.

Due to time wasters I’ve had to realist this add

So what is going on here then.  From the photos the rot spots look ok and it has a ticket to November !

i was instructed by the mechanic the rust on the car is very bad and it would cost a lot to repair it. hence why this car should be used for breaking and used for spares.

Oh. Maybe he was trying to pull a fast one?

Body has slight corrosion across under body (6.1.B.2)

Or maybe not as history does show some weldage bodgerage though.  But still, they all did.  Even back in 1982.

totally derivable

Too right..  Paykans, etc.

Looks lovely to me.

This made me laugh.

The perfect engine. No oil leaks.

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/322977890150?ul_noapp=true

It is a pleasure to drive, very fast, solid and robust. If you check online this type of engine is the one without common faults from Audi as the other engine fitted on this type of chassis like 2.7 bi-turbo and 2.5 TDI have plenty of faults related with oil leaks, turbos, injectors, fuel pump.

Checks MOT History....

Central Oil Leak.

I use to run a 490.....well,what I mean is I used to aim and pray it sort of went that way

Had a friend with a mid 80's KX500 who refused to get on the Maico

Pah, I had a ktm495 enduro sidecar outfit, you could terrify 2 people at once with that if you could stop the clutch slipping, we never found the top speed even with a 2 mile stretch of clear road, previous owner said it was about maxed out on the beach at Weston though.

I had a conversation once that went something like anybody can hammer a 500 round a flat field but unless you are Dave Thorpe chances are you would be quicker round a moto-x track on a 250...pretty true I think so obviously I would buy another if the price was right!
