Because it's quicker and less painful to walk everywhere instead?

If it's a jen-you-wine Stage 1 it's probably worth buying and converting back to correct fuelling and number of cylinders given the amount of scene taxation that now applies to even ordinary green ovals. Perkins be gone!

About ten years ago when I was 15 or so my mother and I drove past an early 80's or late 70's Mini for sale. Nice original car in yellow with no rust and we thought we should buy it and keep it for when I passed my test. £600 quid it was. Bugger me I wish we had bought it and kept it untill now.

the engine in those Astrays is not a Viva or Chevette engine its the Opal version of the engine (totally different design if you put them side by side, (as used in the kadettes) made differently to stop cross trade of UK parts to Germany and or visa versa.....

Only common part in engines is the pushrods maybe valve springs and even then only for later 1256cc Viva / chevette engines, oil pumps, water-pumps, cranks, valves pistons, con-rods, bearings, camshafts, heads, gaskets, timing chain,  clutch (you get the picture) and flywheel all different.

 

All thats said weezy engine yes!

MOT until 22nd November 2018

 

WBOD plus SBOD in one package

 

Earlier this year the car was treated to work on the braking system, having new brake discs/pads/hoses on all 4 corners and a new footbrake. The work totalled to £1,000 in July 2017 (Invoice present).

 

Isn't that a lot of money for that job?

Early 760 V6 auto. 

 

Alas it's Silver Green so it has beige leather, not a good combination IMO, and I don't think the colour really suits the saloons (my estate is the same colour). The steering wheel and wheels (off an MG) are wank but the seller still has the originals fortunately.

 

A tad salty at £2850 start too.

Ooh!

 

 

 

I bought this car to originally turn it into some form of drift car, but as time went on I got bored of it

 

Oh.

 

 

 

So yeah it's kinda a rolling shell at the moment as I was going to put a 2.3 turbo engine into it, but finding the parts for that conversion and the work that needed to go into it, I didn't really feel like it'd be worth the time and money.

 

 

Oh.

 

 

 

 

All the standard parts are there for the car. 

 

The reason for the conversion was because I snapped the cam belt on the original engine
we put a new cam belt on it and it did actually run, just not very well, so i'm pretty sure theres some valve damage, but i don't know because i haven't opened up the engine
