It needs welding and no mot so you're really spinning the dice on how much welding it needs and if the dreaded brakes need work . You could easily spend the purchase price fixing it.

They're notorious for looking okay outside but being rotten underneath .

I love the fact that some lunatic imported a Rover 2000 into NZ, despite the fact 2000s were never sold here. And they manufactured SD1s in NZ anyway.

That 420 is weird. Trim's been blacked out inside and out, mirrors aren't the same colour as the car, ride height is absurd, wheels from a 6/800, and clearly had a front end prang (badly aligned facelift bumper with no paint, and look at the gap on the driver's side). Non airbag steering wheel isn't right either as everything else on the car is facelift, it would have had an airbag. Again, accident damage?

As for the MG instruments: I have no fucking idea.
