Bit cheeky to charge an admin fee , but just offer £441 for the car.

Works out the same, unless there is some legal reason for an admin fee which I dont know about.

End of the day £490 (or however much) would be paid

Asking for some sort of 'purchase admin fee' seems totally ridiculous, no-one buying a £500 car is going to pay that are they. as you say the first thing that will happen is the buyer will ask to deduct it off the asking price.

Payday is next week, and if it's still available (more than likely being an old Rover) I'll offer him £350 for it.  Takes account of the £49 fee and then some.

Is that a Sunny van in the background?

Looks like it - I saw a few of them for sale too. There was one on here like that not too long ago, wasn't there?

Also - looks like a good deal at £550 - I really want to have an R8 at some point.

I hear that XJCs are a bit weird, because of the cutting and shutting done by the factory to make them, but they do lookfab.  This one is quite a  bit kershonkered, but NB velooooouuuuurrrrr for extra 70s winnage.

why have some shit bag vw thing when you could drive this instead?

and instead of paying £20k-odd for some rusty POS from germany when this is priced up at around £10k.

its just a shame that its a 6 cylinder, but i suppose that trade off of it not having a V8, is that its got fuel economy (well sort of....)

That 4x4 Cavalier is ace, but for £2,800 he's clearly tripping.

Flat six in that van right? You have to shell out like £50k to get that in a VW bus.

slant 6, according to the advert, though saying that, it looks like its leaning that far over onto one side, it could just about be a flat 6 engine!
