This shabby little shonker has been up already, but the ad now has pictures of the wonderful* orange seats (with a bonus pic of a lady in a stripy top).  I have a special interest in some gullible hazard junkie discerning connoisseur of fine 80s Vauxhallabilia bidding on this item, but the nature of that interest I am too embarrassed to discuss.

I hadn't heard of 7 series jack points turning to biscuits before though the e39 5's are well known,- I don't use mine.

I wonder how bad this one is? When they get properly chewy it starts working it way up the out side of the sill and this one looks okay.

if it wasn't for the usually excuses I'd love to give this a home.

Bad enough for me on the link to photobucket, certainly need work. Last saw an MOT station in 2013 so probably a roll or two of brake pipes at least as well. As an aside this still has the floor coverings on, the only jack point shagged on my 530 is the only one still with the plastic covering on.

Doesn't look too bad on the face of it but who knows what you'd get into once you started taking it apart. It'll probably need discs and pads and all that but genuine 740i sports seem to be getting more valuable and they're things to be in and drive.

For some reason I had a dream about this car last night, although I barely registered having seen it in this thread yesterday.  I dreamed that I had bought it and was driving it home, thinking what a nice torquey engine it was and wondering how hard it would be to do an engine swap into a Dolomite.

Do I need help?

These are supposed to be a decent steer.  Pity this one's been turned into a half-arsed GT Turbo replica.

This is back on.

Not far from me so if anyone wants me to go sniff the seats and what not let me know.

I wouldn't sniff the seats if this one belonged to that annoying posh woman from the  "John's with me, whatever the fuck he's called is with me, and we've got the backing" adverts.
