I must go to one of those auctions one day, just to see what it's like, there's some nice stuff going though at the weekend, the tide looks high on this Triumph.

Not massively cheap but gr8 if you like thinking about the apocalypse but are allergic to Land Cruisers

Despite the Turbo on that works, it's Speedo tops at 80mph. With the rev counter going into the tens of thousands, I guess it'd be wholly uncomfortable on a dual carriageway?

Upmarket Cavalier shite... Tappy engine and broken seat? They all do that guvner...

To be fair 8Vs rarely do rattle and if they do it's usually only because they need an oil service. A good flush or two and I bet it'd be right as rain.

Like most kei's they're not great on dual carriageways/motorways, they're designed as city cars, not long distance cruisers. My little Daihatsu is doing 5000rpm in 5th @ 70mph, but it's much more civilised at 50-60mph plus a lot better on fuel. They're fantastic city cars and can be great fun on country lanes, with the added bonus of surprising a few people at the lights.

Aren't Keis limited by law to 140 km/h in Japan?

Make sure you sit on your hands, Trig...otherwise you might bring home all sorts of waifs and strays!

Something like that, 660cc is the upper limit for engine capacity and there is a size restriction too.

Excellent run of motors on here - Micra ST, Alto Works and an AZ-1. Fuppin fabtaculous.

Depends where you start from....Kirkcaldy = 2 changes Haymarket and Carlisle, £66ish one way, get a bus down here and I'll run you over if you want, also if the wheels are 15" I'll buy them off you

Cheers, that's a kind offer but it's a long way around. I'll try to rope someone into giving me a lift over or pay £900 to get the train at the weekend.

it is no ordinary Corolla, it is the very rare TOYOTA COROLLA G6R edition. As some of you may know there were only 420 made for the UK market and it came with the Petrol 4A-FE 1.6 16V Engine which produces 109 bhp

HOLY SHIT, WHAT A BEAST

Car comes with a Manual 6 speed close ratio gearbox

Is he including reverse there?

Posted

No, they are proper 6 Speed Units! At the time these were launched they must have been one of the smallest capacity cars available with a 6 speed box at a time when 6 speed boxes weren't so common.

That Sierra needs further investigation!! The press cars were registered JWC ***Y.......i think it could well be one.

Fit although I'd ditch the wheeIs.

I fancy a pop at this. Do any Scottish shitters have experience of getting a train from the west coast to Dunfermline. Do you have to go to change at Edinburgh?

Thats fugging ace. Train from the Weeg to Dunfermline = train from Queen street to Waverley then change and catch a fife circle train to Thornton or Perth which will stop in Dunfermline. Its actually not nearly as much of a PITA as you'd expect.

If you've got an iphone or android download a free app called TicketySplit which is well handy if you're buying last minute. You put in where you're travelling to then it works out if you'd be cheaper buying a ticket from Glasgow to Dunfermline or if it would be cheaper to buy one to say Livingston and a second from Livingston to Dunfermline.

When I go Kirkcaldy to Aberdeen for some ridiculous reason its actually a fair bit less for me to buy Kirkcaldy to Montrose and Montrose to Aberdeen than one direct ticket... and of course you just stay on the same train anyway
