Nedmobile, or Schemie wheels?  Dunbarton is sort of in between Ned and Schemie, I suppose.

That's a surprising amount of knowledge about that area's residents for someone in the Home Counties!

I gather that Neds favour electro dance grooves and random violence, but Schemies are more into Hardcore.

Another cheap Smiley bus.  Where are they all coming from?  This one's got almost 10 months' test as well.

Camry Estate on the road for £349.

Hey, it's getting closer to what he actually paid for it! It was £250-odd on gumtree in a really minging part of London for about ten seconds, someone on here spotted it.

This is an unusual one.  LWB low top Smiley with a tailgate at the back.  I'd actually be tempted by this if it weren't in [phlegmy noise]ane[phlegmy noise]i.

That's ace, even if it does look like it was photographed in 1941. Into the watch list it goes.

It'll slip under the tip barrier too.

Not entirely conclusive, but found this on the web before ref. those 4x4 Freight Rovers.

http://forums.lr4x4.com/topic/847-4x4-sherpa/

Interesting reading on the Sherpa 4bee4. I like this quote: "Our armed forces bought some. Also the USAF bought quite a few Sherpa variants - both van and light pick-ups - for UK base use in the 1980s as part of Industrial Offset purchases, so it could be one of theirs.

Could be one of Marshall's Special Vehicles conversions, but more likely to have come out of Washwood Heath. Model is a K2. I think a number of Sherpas used the Series 3 wing air intake.

By the way, just to show how penny pinching our motor industry was, the rear part of a Sherpa [and the current Pilot] has exactly the same body pressings as the Austin J4, which dates from the early 1960's!! Other parts eminated from the Morris Oxford/Austin Cambridge, and from Land Rover."

No sunroof - big bonus on these.

Totally standard

....except it's been lowered

....and it has a Barry Exhaust

It needs about £1000 spent in it to reverse those and to make it nice and at £3000 it would be well worth it by the looks of it.

To be fair to the seller he does say standard except the exhaust and Spax suspension in the listing.

Despite its minute development budget and parts bin origins early Sherpas are vastly better than the 60' tat that they resemble (transit excepted) I've used but not owned a 4x4 and they were good with the 2 litre O series. Missing prop shaft easily and very cheaply made up, reason for its removal might be more expensive to fix though. 200/300 TDI would make it go very smartly.

Agreed.  I've never driven a J4 but I had a JU250 for a while (which also donated some of its DNA to the Sherpa) and I can confirm that the Sherpa is a much better less horrible drive.
