I loved those rims on the Minis  -  reminded me of Alfa wheels. But they look absolutely shit on that Riley

Good job there's an expert to diagnose the problem

Er, OK Mike.

I genuinely LOLOLOLed at this.

This Mike Bone dude sounds like a proper legend. Can we not persuade him to produce a weekly Mike's Top Tips thread or something? I know it would get the content Nazis frothing, but at least it would be funny. I mean, I'd love to hear his explanation of how a screen washer pump works.

Neglected Maestro van, 100 quid start and currently no bids.  Worth more than that for the engine surely?

Bonus Mk2 luton in the background.

Same seller also has this:

which has been making it extremely hard for me to resist doing something stupid.

That Dodge 50 series is great - I bet they are a piece of piss to get parts for too.

Seller wins age discrimination award -

No bidders under 10.

and number plate obfuscation award

I agree, I certainly enjoyed his content - including this further gem from later in the thread (after the 20 thousandth person had told him he was talking bollocks) -

He sounds like the kind of dolt we sent to the parts store to get a bag of fresh sparks and a tin of torque.

Am I the only one who thinks these became seriously rare?

Or am I only not registering them?

Do you mean 200 series Volvos or the V6 ones?  I don't think they sold many V6s after you could get the V6 in a 7 series, and especially once the turbo 4s in the 7 series were just as powerful and more economical.

As for 200 series - they could do a pretty marvellous job of rotting - especially around the rear.  Weird RWD handling with a narrower rear track (I had a saloon for a while).  I think a lot have been raped for the axles too something to do with welding the diff for drift weapons.

265s.

I think they were pretty rare in the first place - fairly sure they were just called 260 after 1983 (the 240s stopped being 244 and 245 and were all called 240) - and they only made the V6 in estate from from 83-85.  No more 200 series V6s after 85.

I drove a V6 once (264) it was crap - but that may have just been that one.

According to the V5 this also has a 7 litre engine (as someone pointed out and got told to fuck off by the seller).

Shagged but driveable 32-seater Iveco coach.  About 8 miles from me, currently £100 with no bids and no reserve.  I am worried that I might be about to do something incredibly stupid.

265s are very rare, probably single digit rare by now. This is only the second one I've ever seen on eBay. They were pretty shite when new, scarcely any faster than the 4 pot but a sub 20 mpg thirst. Weren't PRV V6s still in the spontaneous grenading phase at the time? Needless to say, I'd love it.
