I know, I know!

There's about ten of them out there IIRC. They started life at Stagecoach Kenya, but they weren't working out for them for some reason, so they got exported here in the late '90s. They worked on Megabus for a while, then got transferred to Manchester's Magic Bus division, running up and down from the city centre to Didsbury on the 142/143 until about 2009 when all the shite buses started getting pulled from the Magic Bus fleet (shame, it was ace) because they weren't low floor (maintenance costs of the six wheels won't have helped - I heard they liked to eat through centre tyres). After that it was all Presidents and ALX400s, now it's mainly Enviro 400s. Zzzzz.

They all got sold off and either ended up being holed up or used as school buses and the like.

Fond memories of riding these things home from school, they were the only buses about with sliding windows you could stick your head out of, nice high ceilings, and decent big comfy individual seats too. Well maintained but shonky at the same time. Some of them had dot matrix panels but it wouldn't surprise me if Stagey kept them for something else.

Thanks to Flickr here's the same bus in happier times:

And here's all of them at Ensignbus not long after the end of their time with Stagey: https://flic.kr/p/93QGgk

The SVM know the bus... that one was ours, pictures taken roughly where Dave's yellow decker was for the 2016 Calendar cover. It's M699 TDB rather than 689 and was one of 20 (L392 LNA, M379 TJA, M680-696/699 TDB IIRC) new to Stagecoach Kenya. It sold to MASS Transit, Anston for £2272 yesterday.

£4750 for an unremarkable 8v golf GTi? Is this guy serious or just a heavy user of recreational drugs?

My Golf is original if it was low mileage it would have a massive price tag over £10000 I simple want to sell to buy a 1960's Mercedes Pagoda as I only have room for one car in my garage and my old BMW motorcycle.

I see three ADO16s and two Minis in the photos. No surprise at the ebay id is - pugz77

I have an unhealthy love for the AD016 cars.....your right.

I dragged the Wolse from London where it sat at a back street mg garage for years, sad and neglected missing the back subframe.

I bought it to return to the road and return to the road I did :)
