Rough Mk1 Celica in the parts section.  This is probably considered cheap for one of these now, even in this state.

Where abouts did your dad go to school? There was an Alan Old taught at mine who played rugby for England.

Yes, it's not him!

He was teacher at the same school my dad taught in to be clearer.

Although he seems to be hogging 95% of the world's remaining stock of grille stars.  Greedy bastard.

I thought they are drawer pulls from Wickes.

This badly advertised Scouse 1100 is winking at me...

But the MOT history is a bit worrying for an £1,800 car with about two weeks test left

Ro80 with Audi 100 drivetrain. Looks a better bet than most conversions and would be worth keeping as it was done in period from " in the family". A big plus is no sunroof - the sunroof can be a real disaster on these because it drains into the sills.... Almost in the team colours too.

- all the time I had an Ro80 I sulked that it didn't have alloys but now I much prefer these steels and 'caps. Maturity.

But the problem here is the same as with the Staaaag

Bar room bore wonders up, "got the original engine in it?" expecting a fight etc

Given the answer they generally just wander orf

verdict - nice reliable car but a conversation killa

Also the doors seem to be moulded out of pure pudding, and the colour really is dire. It's cheap, though, and I'd deffo have a punt if I had any spare cash

Anyone going to have a bid on this?

If it's really just a couple of rear cylinders and shoes and a small plate I'm considering buying it and booking an MOT and driving it back to sunny Manchester. How could I possibly go wrong? It's either that or a dodgy towing dolly/a frame I have in the garage.

If at first you don't succeed, keep fixing it until it's dead.

So disappointed that the dogs weren't actually in the advert!
