Some vehicles should be listed, like buildings.

The Noddy van was the more intelligent piece of engineering of the two, though.

Probably because they were designed with full consultation with those who were to drive them.....

My old boss had one of these when they were a bit newer. No word of a lie that everytime he drove it (and when I travelled in it), a different warning light came on.

I was working in a posh part of London when these came out in 2001.  A woman from the office next door had one and she was the most perfect, beautiful woman I've ever seen.  Perhaps because of that I can look past the obnoxious estate agents that had them and the other twats and judge them on their merits today.

I absolutely understand that they're cramped inside, gearboxes are a mixture of K Series head gasket and Renault electrics and for the same money you could get a Toyota that would be much more reliable.  However an early Cooper from 2001 like this one is my tip for appreciating classic car over the next couple of years.

Ours has SEPTEMBER 2001 on a label on the inner wing. As I point out to Mrs New POD, there's a 59 register, and one day there will be a 01 register

They are not particularly cramped inside. The drivers seat has a lot of adjustment, and worst case for the rear seat passenger there is no leg room behind, but the driver would have to be 6 foot 4, to need the seat in that position. I've been on a few long journeys in the back and it's not uncomfortable at all. Boot is obviously bigger than the original mini, but if you put a full size 195/50/16 spare in it, the boot lid will only just close.

Diesel thames is Perkins 1600 powered rare when new never mind now.

Rarest is the compressor/generator where the eng powers both the truck & bed mounted plant.

Think only one survives.

I just don't know if I could live with a scooter with a four stroke engine.

*double checks local minicab regulations before visiting licensing office*

"vehicle must have four doors" oh bugger, missed that bit.

No problem, the regulations don't say anything about them being fitted to the car...

I want it but I already got one. Mine has the wheel of misfortune dash. No temp gauge just a light to tell you when it's nearly too late.

Heyy.... Woahh!! I nearly spluffed 5k on an ancient/rehashed Renault5/Clio...... with only a Red Light of Doom
