Check out the power plant on the back of this bad boy. 25 HP Chrysler. My dad had the exact same outboard on his shite boat he had years ago. I remember it's maiden voyage (with us) lasting all of 25 seconds on the Conwy Estuary because the prop fell off.

Previously had a V8 4.4 litre petrol engine, which has been removed 

 

and replaced with something exotic like an LS3 or an M5 v10?

 

 

 

and replaced with a Land rover 2.5 diesel 300TDI engine ad gearbox taken from a discovery

Not original but nice. There was a good episode of Jay Leno's garage this week on youtube involving a 350bhp 998cc Mini with 16v BMW motor bike head and a-series bottom end that ran Bonneville. It blew up obviously.

This is a bit special. I've watched it but I bet will end up going for decent moneys.

 

 

It would be interesting to see what it goes for - lower mileage cars can go for really quite a lot. The guy selling it (Rob Jenner) is well known in Jag circles and well respected - which has to help it, I should think.

Pics of Gilberns and other specialist cars from the same era are always interesting for "spot the parts used". Some Mk1 Cortina glass, HA tail-lights, etc, etc. Often the parts used look "right" too.

The engine starts and runs, howver since putting it in the range rover I havnt had time to connect the wiring to the engine. have realised that it needs a genius at electrics to get it working and not have a billion warning lights and errors showing.

Using my new JML X-RAY SPECS ULTRAVISIONTRANSMISSION SPOTTING NIGHT FIELD GLASSES I clearly managed to observe the new gearbox from the nine fucking pictures of the outside of the car and the three of the interior.

 

'So if your interested and buy the car you can maybe take it back to the garage and get them to sort it under warranty'

 

Brilliant idea! I mean, it's not like you paid to have it fixed so you could take it back yourself. That'd be ridiculous.
