Lucky that Saab is the other end of the country, I could be in trouble.

Me too, though the "electric roof needs attention" and the seven photos of it - to be fair, looking not bad - all with the roof down lead me to the view that it might not be suitable for a Scottish summer, let alone autumn or winter.

has recently developed a  gear selector problem box is ok I have been told by rover owners that its the selector bush on top of the gear box I have replaced the rubber ring and pin on gear stick ball it started by being stiff to get out of 1st gear and not going to 2nd when changing down from 3rd  I removed stick and after fitting rubber it was stuck in reverse as I removed stick in reverse ,remove stick put in neutral and with stick back in I now got only 3 gears no revers or 1st lot of play in gear stick im told the box will have to come out to fix as the selector bush is on top in the front on end of the rod

WTF???

I have a rover p4 that wants work

You mean you are going to fuck that one up as well?

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/306-2000-2-0-8v-turbo-petrol-ph3-/272358116754

The car has done a lot of miles but its completely solid throughout and has a small amount of surface rust on the rear left hand door.  The Car has various age related marks but it really does turn heads.

Sounds very average TBH chief

The conversion alone would reach into a few thousand due to its complexity.

Oh-oh, he's warming us up for the kicker.....

£17,000.00

FUCK OFF!!!!!!

T reg '98 Peugeot 306 rallye which has been stripped out for track use. The car has done 135000 miles and was a reliable runner when i last used it on the road. I have stripped out the abs system and brake pipes and installed full braided brake lines with a wilwood balancing valve. 10kgs worth of sound deadening was removed from the floor along with the interior. The has had the rear arches welded as the previous owner removed the plastic wheel arch liners!

FFS theres some thick bastards around, who shouldnt be allowed to have cars basically. I include YOU in this category.

Good bits; ..... brand new solid crankshaft pulley

Bad Bits: ...  Crankshaft  pulley bolt needs torqueing up Control arm locator bolts need installing.

Why dont you tighten the bastard pulley and put these bolts in, you dip shit? FFS it drives you mental.

Basically anyone who gets this car has to sort out everything that this guy has touched, before putting it into service.

I think they were all officially left hookers, the only RHD ones are aftermarket conversions.

If that's the one I think it is, it's been sat on top of a container in a plant yard for quite a while and from my experience of Barchettas it will be full of water

Edited to add, here it is

Those two 306s earlier make me sad. I've always kind of wanted a nice GTi6 / Rallye, but I guess my chances of finding an unmolested one are slim.

Also, that first one, the turbo one. They mention it has 195/45/15 tyres. Uuuuuuh, the 306 uses 195/55/15 tyres. That thing must be screaming its head off at 70mph. Or, they'll be doing an 'indicated' 70mph and wondering why everybody else, including HGVs, are fucking off past them.

going down 10% on the aspect ratio isnt going to make a huge lot of difference. Anyway he says he's put a diesel gearbox in so the gearing will be all over the shop anyway!

I know of a totally standard 306 GTi6 that has sat in a garage untouched for about 7 years now. The owner didn't want to part with it when he got a Brand new Civic Type R, instead he stuck it in his dad's garage and left it there since. I occasionally prod as to the availability of the car but the owner is sentimentally attached, might have another prod soon though just to see if they've changed their mind.
