At £6k it seems like a bargain.

Yeah but 'reserve not met'. It looks like a really nice car and is worth a hell of a lot more than that. In a dealer that's a £15 grand car. But black with grey.... I still like it though.

Buyed New and never drived by 35 years. Was left in a Garage because is owner died in a car accident before he could drive it.
Propably the best Morris Sherpa that you can find. All is New, nothing were restored the speeometer as 128 km.

 

 

And as if that wasn't enough, note the R16!

When I was a sprog and did my day release thing to a college (training to be a bike mechanic/technician after being a jeweller - one of my various fads) they had a Sherpa that was brand new and was used for practice taking gearbox/clutches out. As everyone knew that it would be out again next week no one ever did any of the bolts up and one day, the gearbox removed itself without any human interaction! The last person had lost even more bolts so it was a couple only that were just caught and a propshaft that held it in.

 

Only they didn't....

 

 

 

 

 

 

P.S. a good question here is: 'why, if training to work on motor bikes are you taking clutches/gearboxes out of Sherpa pick ups?'

 

Answer is, day release was mandatory but there was no course for bike mechs so this was the closest thing!

Presumably a reference to the 1980 album Making Movies by Dire Straits.

As to any connection this Herald might have, I have no idea . The record sleeve was predominantly red with a bit of blue- maybe that roof was blue at some point.

Maybe there was a Herald in one of the tracks videos , I can't remember ever seeing the videos.

Maybe The line " A love struck Romeo sings the streets a serenade , laying everybody low in a 13/60 Herald that he made. Appears on the bootleg

the 1.3 pinto was only avl in mk1 sierra hatch base & L in mainland uk.
