It does currently run but the water pump is leaking

Foot brake is on the floor so needs looking at

Why are half knackered Allegros and VDP's selling for this kind of money now? Are they being driven around London suburbs by bearded hipsters eating £5 slices of toast?

Going by the logic of their pricing, those two shitty trailers are apparently worth about £30k then.

I can't remember them ever having been significantly cheaper.

Also, if you consider this half knackered, then I'm not looking forward to your assessment of my haunted Rover.

I can, about 5 years ago Allegro's and VDP's where at the bottom of the food chain and could be had for £300-400 quid. I got offered a VDP for nothing and turned it down.

I quite like the look of these teeny, twingo turbos. Cheap but CAT-D for some reason.

seems that I've missed the allegro buying boat then, bollox.....

that beige one's body looks pretty nice, in the photo's (real life can be very VERY different) but it seems to be on its arse, so I guess there is a problem with the hydragas cans which helpfully* the seller has not mentioned.....

Yes no suspension, no mot. no brakes, no water pump and creeping grot around the windscreen. Bargain.

That RR Allegro isn't worth £1500 in the current market. The problem seems to be with rare, unusual BL stuff and similar is that some wally will chance their luck with a nice one for £4000 or whatever, and as there's no other benchmark for other vendors it bogusly dictates the market. You'll end up with 3 or 4 for sale at silly money for months on end until someone has a reality check or goes tits-up.

I'm not married but it would be worth gettinv married just to see how much trouble this would cause.

Trust me on this... It wouldn't.

This, has the potential to be a mega barg, the seller doesn't seem to know what it is.

It's a pre-facelift 2.8i GL S manual!!! Even the Ghia leather that's been fitted is ultra rare pre- facelift.

If I was an East Coast based shiter with Cortina proceeds in my pocket I'd be asking someone local to have a butchers at how solid it is.

If only an Austrian Granada Perv lived nearby!

Edited to add picture of the only other one I've ever seen- be like Jack Regan.

^^ the Granny Mk2 does have MOT until Nov 16, not expired Nov 15 as per advert (shhh). MOT history suggests a load of underseal. This looks a little bit exciting. Save it from the oval someone!

Howmanyleft suggests very few remaining (1 licenced, 2 SORN). Should almost get as much love as a Sierra base.

That Wartburg is another 4cylinder 4 stroke imposter. Boo.

That Gardner engined Foden: those headlights are huge, I never noticed them on any other trucks of the day. My head wants to assume they are 7", which would make for a very small Foden but they must be at least 10" diameter.

The allegro vandom plas (and any other allegro and most 70's and 80's BL product come to think of it) is/are rare because they were shit and overpriced and shit and they were unreliable and shit and rusty and shit and uneconommical and shit, and used technology which was undeveloped and yet old fashioned and shit and so those that did get bought, were mostly scrapped, because they quickly were worth nothing.

Just because it's rare, doesn't mean it's worth owning. Like Polio.
