For sale by the side of the road in Botswana. Solid looking 1968ish Toyota Corona saloon (?).  I have the number. Happy to help with purchase/storage/shipping.  No price yet but doubt it will be much.

(the rear cabin air con control is behind the sliding door)

This car was owned by famous Nigerian politician Moshood Abiola (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moshood_Abiola) also known as MKO Abiola, hence the MKO 488 private license plate.

Is the smaller VM diesel engine, as found in that Alfetta above, as shit as the 2.5 found in Jeeps of the '90s. Come 100,000 miles they would warp their heads and boil themselves.

What in turn, or in a random fashion over a few months?

Hey let's not put Mr Bo11 off as it's still only halfway there:

It shows 82000 Kms which is about 51000 miles from new and I have no reason to doubt that given the condition of the interior which, when cleaned, is excellent

Utterly unremarkable early Astra G mk4. So very very clean though. Worth protecting. using

Fixed that for you. Astra G? My Arse (I know it is a G, but prefer to use old school designations) .

Plus - A low mileage astra deserves to see the road and be abused for all it's worth.  Worry about restoring it in 15 years time when it's fecked.

BUT do I love a low mileage mk4 1.6 16V astra.

Here's a Red 1.6 16V Club that has done 5K less miles than that green one and a Black 1.6 16V Twinport Sport that has done about 13K more than the green one.

Price is a bargain really £895 for a car with beige/grey interior and low miles which any back street mechanic car fix with eyes closed.

It's fecked.  Seriously it needs hours of welding.

That's the infamous Stondon CX. 'Museum exhibit' eh? Does dumping it outside for a decade count as exhibiting it?

Seller's other items and what's in the background are intriguing though. Considering the auction was supposed to be a disposal of the entire collection there's still an awful lot of stuff on site a year after the museum closed.

I wondered where it was "displayed" given the rustiness

The CX was outside as quicksilver says. A few of us sat in it last year and it's comprehensively fucked IIRC.
