Winnah! Literally?

Three and a bit days to go but my highest bid might be high enough that if people bid a few pounds more than what it stands at and are told they've been outbid every time they might be put off. I feel a trip to Penrith may be in my future )in which case, who wants it?).

I have a terrible feeling it might have to be hidden away in the back yard of a bakery near me.... ;)

2.0 SEH is about 130 BHP ? and quite cheap second hand BUT is BIG block and heavy metal.

Personally I think a small block 1.3 8V with silly tuning would make 130 bhp and Handle better.

Or a small block 1.6 16V out of an astra mk3 sport with a bit of fettling, would make 130 Bhp and be quite useable.

Basically why fuck up the handling by fitting a heavy engine?

I like the alloys but see no reason to go above 14 inch.

2.0 8v in a nova is fun a mate of mine has one in a saloon, the big block helps keep a bit of weight on the front end, it doesn't fuck the handling up one bit, it handles lovely, the speedo needle can't keep up, the power and torque are effortless and it's easy to drive so they are great alternatives to omgredtop

I do miss the back in the day sound of a nova 1.3Sr with raised compression, headwork, big cam and side draughts screaming along though

14K FFS.

That's an awful lot of money to make yourself look like an utter bell-end.

Will somebody actually pay that amount for this?

There are plenty of bell-ends in this world. Some of them have access to lots of money.post-17481-0-24341700-1457694196_thumb.png

LOL I prefer to buy cars with pictorial evidence of having been used to move a smashed-up caravan chassis round a housing estate.
