After some frantic googling I am inclined to agree, I think its a Jatco box as opposed to the mega wank ZF CVT stepspeed box in the smaller-engined Rovers.

ISTR Jatco box for the V6 cars.

I probably do mean Wuvvum, it began with a 'W' anyway.

well i'm just thankful that there is only the one kwak green astra van knocking about.......

Rover only lasted as long as they did because of a loyal band of Giffers born at a time when you bought British as a principle and mistakenly believed you still had to wait 2 weeks for foreign car parts. Problem was they gradually died off whilst the remaining found they were getting the same car 9 nine years down the line, but with flimsier wood inserts.

Flippin LOL, so true. When you see the leather seats in a 54 plate rover and compare them to those in a X or Y plate equivalent its totally laughable.

1986 FORD SIERRA LX BLUE only 28,000 mls from new.html

God that is just the most horrible piece of design, looks like it was made buy cutting up pictures of dashboards and randomly glued back together.

I love the outside but couldn't live with that dogs breakfast inside!

I would love that Black Diesel Uno with the fingertip dash controls - no need to take hands off the steering wheel - just ace.

I promised myself that I wouldn't buy any more cars that meant a train journey through London.

Bollocks, anyone want a nice Maestro?

what the rover bubble?

i found it a nice place to sit and the one i had, a 80bhp 1400 was a nice drive too.

shame about the OMGHGF but there are folk (OK, there is Mr. B) )who can fix these so its not like that is an issue either.

RE the tidy 2006 Megane convertible at the top of the last page for £650.....it's that place in Kirkcaldy again innit?. Just what's going on there? How can they retail at those prices?

I don't say that all Vauxhalls are $h!t, but I do say that one is.

(And it's odd how the alternator can pump charge into the battery without the engine running)

I have got a MAJOR LEAGUE HWOARN for this Rover 45 V6 with cripplematic gearbox

got a few dings but still looks pretty genuine and unmolested. 5 months test and no cambelt information. How much do you reckon it'll make? £350?

Theyre all autos you goon.

I have no need at all for this but it looks nice and I proper fancy it in a Philippa Forrester stylee

Anyone fancy fetching this for me? I can do it myself, and will if necessary, but if anyone fancies driving it from Reading to Uttoxeter id be happy to let them, you could hang onto it for a bit if you like as I'm not in any gasping hurry. PM me if this appeals.

Do a deal with him, swap the trim over with your Exec, and put this back on the market with leather.  Simples!

This is not being unconsidered.

Usual dubber priorities in evidence:

gti front seats

audi alloys with good tyres but only fit using the wobble bolts supplied

not road worthy

Get your bids in quick though...

don't hang about as this will be broken for bits and the  rest scraped if it doesn't sell

Bit salty given that it's apparently got tinworm in some unfriendly places, but cute.

That's exactly like my Grandad's. Lots of memories of being picked up from primary school in it in the early 90s with it kangarooing everywhere as it only ever had a breath of fuel in and used draw shit out of the tank. I don't think I've seen a saloon that colour with those wheels since, made my day that
